I'm gay, but I dislike the "everyone is bi" route they went with this game. If it works for everyone else, that's fine but I'm not a huge fan of it.
I agree that making everyone bisexual is a bit much, but then again ... I was really frustrated that the option of romancing Jack with my femaleShepard in ME2 wasn't open, mainly because it meant that I wasn't free to choose who my Shepard was. It's a lot easier (for me at least) to relate to a character, if I get to choose things like that.
+ I honestly think the (real) world would be a happier place if everyone were at least open to bisexuality. Some people might think I'm a horrible person for saying so, but in being open minded about your sexuality you might spare yourself and others a lot of bitterness and regret.
I already said that the only thing that bothers me about this is that it seems a tad unrealistic... and impersonal. If every character treats the same inclination of bisexuality, it removes a bit from their identity and forces ( maybe, I'm not sure ) the character personalities to disregard my character's gender a bit. What I mean to say is, I don't want NPC's LI to treat my character the same, regardless of gender if they are 'BI available'; I don't know if they do in Dragon Age 2, if they do, I don't know to what extent they recognize my character's gender, and honestly, I'm not sure if spending resources on making LI relatonships differ based on gender is worth it, in the end.
I could be wrong though.
