Well hi.
I wanted to know if there is a way to find out how Carver/Bethany will look like, regarding to the preset in character creation. I could test it, but this will lead to replay the prologue over and over again and create a new Hawke every time.
Changing Hawke in the Black Emporium doesn't seem to affect the family (changed skin tone, no change regarding family). I just don't want to crete a good looking Hawke just to find out my family is fugly ^^
So if anybody has pictures/guides/whatever for each preset or at least some way to skip right to character creation, I would be happy.
Thanks in advance.

So far you can only do it the hard way. It seems to vary based on which preset and which skin tone you pick.
Personally I'd reccomend doing your initial looks based on how you want your family to look, then fine tune your own appearance in the Emporium later. Since as you mentioned, the mirror leaves your family alone.

Interesting thing, if you have the emporium, make whatever preset you want for your family members to look the way you want.
Then when you get to kirkwall go to the emporium and customize your character. The family does not change.
Family varies according to skin tone, not preset (it is the skin tone that changes from the testing I did) I took preset 1 and gave hair, same family. Did preset 1 and made dark tan - different family.
Then did preset, got the family and changed in emporium - family the same.

So if it depends on the skin tone, there are more possibilities than the above mentioned. Sad that the family doesn't change when using the Emporium. Would be much easier to test all possibilities. So we have to start over for my problem isn't solved.

Watch out, I made a Femmehawk that made Bethany quite fugly, but made Mamma hawke like insanely hot.

Is it just me or does Mom Hawke look like a 30 year old with grey hair?

It's just kinda depressing to play through the first part (OK, you can't die, but it takes its time, though) and also take the time to create a nice looking Hawke to just find out that your family looks... retarded. And the only way is to start over.
And yes, some more wrinkles on her would've made her more convincing. So she doesn't look like your grey haired sister.

My obviously-white blue-eyed Hawke had an inexplicably black mother and a yellow-eyed latino brother.
I just pretended we were adopted.

Now thats just comedy gold....
Anyway, to stay on topic, im not so sure about the skin tone idea. In my last playthrough carver had short kinda spiky hair and blue eyes. In my current playthrough i picked the same skintone for my femmehawke (though a different preset) and I ended up with this weird long-haired caveman of a brother.
