it says to find something from a Varteral(sp), and the map location points to sundermount
ive been all over sundermount, including all the way up to the altar and through the passage to where i fought a dragon once before and into the 'newly opened cave' and theres nothing there. did have a battle with a dragon or some other big monster in the new cave but certainly no varterals.
am i missing something or is this yet another bug?

You can't get to the Varterral until you have Merril's quest to start repairs on the mirror, if I remember correctly.
