In DA:O you had two armor setups.... i use a bow with my rogue, i notice on infighting he pulls a dagger, but i can't figure out where to equip the the offhand wep?

you don't equip it... it just is! you can switch if you stop and go into inventory to change them but no quick bar/button thing is available
I have two daggers I keep in my inventory because I want to switch between bow and DW for some quests, so maybe it is one of those... but ???

Changing from bow to daggers is instantaneous in DA2.
Just pause and switch your weapons, I usually start out each battle ranged and then switch to DW to backstab and complete some cross class combos.

I think he means the auto close combat animations that happen when a bow user is forced into melee. There is no way to equip that cool dagger you found, for off-hand use in that situation. That dagger you see, in that situation is just a default imaginary dagger...........seriously.
The only way to switch to 2 daggers for melee, is to pause the game and play with your inventory, there is no more alternate set of weapons like in DA:O or every other rpg game. ie: no quick switch weapons button
