Don't panic, just make sure Dragon Age 3 has nothing to do with DA2 and everything to do with DAO.

*picks Bioware up*
Everyone makes mistakes.
We your custom base love you and as a result we're going to pretend that Dragon Age 2 never happened.
But here is what we need from you Bioware. Make sure that nothing from Dragon Age 2 finds it's way into Dragon Age III. I would like to see Dragon Age III as a continuation of Dragon Age Origins with all it's original features.
You can recover from this by going back to your deep RPG roots. Go back to the old school. Challenge the masses, don't baby them. DA2 is your wake up call. Challenge the peoples intellect, don't insult their intelligence and you will be rewarded with LOTS of sales and support.
Remember that RPG'ers are intelligent gamers. We like to think, we like intricacy and complex dialogue. We liked deep puzzles and moral quagmires. Go back to your roots and all will be well.

So far i am enjoying DA2.
Yes i play in PC,my favorite game was Planescape Torment, yada yada,i am not as hardcore RPG fan as you so burn me in the stake.
There is no old school RPG guys seriously.Baldur's Gate had complex dialogue?Where everything you said had the same result?
You like puzzles?Like in BG2 where i told a riddle and you answered?Oh but if you are wrong then "LIGHTNING BOLT!"!
Intricacy and plot twists?Name one plot twist in DA:O.
lol guys get a grip, old school RPG never existed like you think it did in the first place.
Next thing, you will all be praising Icewind Dale for it's party interaction and asking to go back to that.
There was only ONE RPG that had the most amazing story you could have. And plot twists, and intricacy, and UNEXPECTED outcomes, because of the story.
Plane scape Tor ment.
End.

At least it HAD puzzles, riddles, and dialogue options.
Riiight dialogue options.Do you remember any of those i wonder?
Right you dont.Because there were NEVER options, there were only appearing as options, and had no consequence to the story.
Now they actually do but you don't seem to notice.
Oh it had puzzles AND riddles eh?Amazing.

Is this for real? Did you even play DAO? The dialogue options effected things in so many different ways. Wasn't there like three different endings for the elf area? Geez, this guy is crazy.
I remember almost every line of dialogue in DAO it was brilliant, thought provoking and mentally stimulating.
Are you under 25?

If DA2 bombs, then one of two things can happen.
1. DA3 goes back to it's roots
2. DA3 gets canned.
Or they may conclude that DA2 was still not streamlined enough when the spybot reports on all those unfinished games.

No more fancy graphics and animations, those are for kids anyway.
Also, we need more dungeon crawling. In fact, make it all dungeon crawling, preferably as easy to get lost in as possible, even if it's a city it should be like I'm spelunking in the maziest of cavernous mazes.

Learn to read and then judge others for their age.
The dialogue part was about BG2,not DA:O.DA:O had good enough dialogue, and i don't see any difference with DA2,other than the fact that they chose a different system, the wheel, take it or leave it.
If that broke the game for you, then sucks to be you!
IF you even bought DA2.

Areas,i read it wrong,sorry.
Yeah i do agree with that, but that doesn't have anything to do with oldschool or not, does it?
And while we're at it,i would like to see OPEN WOLRD exploration in a game.Like Oblivion did.
But then again, old school RPGs did not have that.

Id rather have origins back, DA2 doesn't really make you think, no challenge aside from the battles. I enjoy the challenge of "what do I do next". in DAII, that doesn't exist.
Can you actually remember any part in DA:O where it made you think like that?Because i don't.
You can still choose what to do next as far as quests are concerned. There are not different areas and such to go like Ozrammar in Origins for example, but it doesn't mean you don't think.

What would the gaming community be without it?
Look at you, like fat (some Qunari animal) you feed and feed, and complain only when your meal is interrupted.

DA2 aint perfect, but it's a pretty solid effort. It aint DA1, it aint BG1/2 and, crucially, it's not trying to be.

But it does make Bioware hypocrites. See my sig.
