So, anyone have a playthrough where you defiled the ashes and killed Leliana? Is she still in DA2 miraculously alive, or is there another girl in her place?

Yep. I was annoyed as hell by this when she showed up during Sebastian's quest. After getting no response from the devs, and after completing the game and seeing her show up yet again, I realized that Bioware simply decided that our decisions in DA:O did not matter. Their game, their rules, whether we like it or not.

Ok, yeah that does kinda suck. Although, I guess unless your Warden decapitated her, it's possible she might have survived, it is kinda stretching.

But I did decapitate her... <_<  Oh well...
Edit:  The loophole with Morrigan falling through the mirror and not technically being confirmed "dead" is at least acceptable because you can tell that it's coming.  This was just insulting.

Well at least Zevran was killed on my port and he stayed as such, so some of our choices still hold true. But seriously we ***** about not hearing about them in awakening and when they show up in Dragon Age II we ***** about that, I don't think Bioware is ever going to win us all over. I don't have a problem with that, being a fan of Marvel comics you learn one thing...anyone can come back to life...ANYONE...so I take this instride, especially seeing as my import never even recruited her.

Arguably Wynne's whole spirit thing could've saved them both, I mean how many times are the characters reduced to 0 hp and they stand back up again later ready to keep on fighting?

I think its an error on Bioware's part however.

This is why they should have had alternate characters in the event they had died in a previous outing...

You only thought you killed her. After you leave, our brave Orlesian drags herself through those caves subsisting on dragon poo and cave water as she slowly pulls herself with her teeth to freedom.

Once free, she concotes a vile brew made from the local foliage to mend her wounds to the point that she is able to hobble with crutches to the nearest trade route. At that point, she finds a willing peasent farmer/merchant and lets him/her have his/her way with her broken body in exchange for travel to the nearest town.

Finally, after months of this degrading behavior, she ends up at a Chantry where she is healed. Leliana smolders at this betrayal and her convinction in the Maker has never been stronger. The Warden is lucky he's missing, because our favorite red head has quite the surprise in store for him/her when she finally finds him/her.

considering you kill her next to the big pot of, though tainted, magical healing dust, i'd think she'd be able to pull through ok from any sword wound

I liked seeing Leliana at the end. Having the decision forced on you; however, is another thing. I can understand they want some decisions to be canon since they are shaping the story. But allowing us to shape our own story and then having the product contradict our story is certainly a slap in the face.

I believe rogues had fake death abilities in DAO so she faked her death.(plus the ashes had some serious magic curing abilites)....whatever im just happy Leliana have an important role in Dragon age world and that her being alive is cannon.

One question: How the hell is she gonna do that without a head?

As a master poisoner, she threw some hallucinogenic dust in the air that makes you imagine that part. Don't worry. Even though you didn't actually decapitate her, the scars left on her naked body will make even the kinkiest person pale. There's a reason she's become the darling of the Divine.

She was alive, as far as I knew, in my playthrough, but I never picked her up in Lothering, so when Hawke says "The Leliana?" and goes on about her being with the Warden, I was kinda mad.

There are a couple of times where the game just flat out ignores what you did in Origins. I wish they would either commit to a consistent world across games or just come out and say they don't give a damn. None of this half-way bull.

Not checked. But pretty certain Anders still pops up in DA2 even though in your Awakenings epilogue he died.

But I wouldn't complain, fun to see the superior characters of Origins/Awakening in DA2.

(Dunno if Zevran or Nathaniel appear in DA2 if they die in your Origins/Awakenings save though, they were minor character in DA2 after all)

I will accept the excuse that there were some of Andraste's Ashes on the floor and she used them to survive.

Nothing less.

I haven't seen the actual cameo yet (still on the end of chapter 2) but if Hawke shows surprise on seeing her I'll have to scratch my head a bit. When you bring Bethany to the Chantry and click on her, she says she misses Lothering and that "Sister Leliana told the best stories". Sure it could be written off that only Bethany knew her, but still...

That being said I'm happy she's in the game since in my main DAO headcanon, her and my CE Warden are lovers (and by the Maker, if the cameo bugs out and she says nothing about her ladylove I will get stabby... ;P)

(And about Anders, he definitely died in Awakening for me yet is quite alive for DA2, same with Justice...)

I doubt they can repair a chopped off head and probably is the reason Bioware removed finishers for safety reasons not ur safety but for your DA2 companions notice how you kill Anders with a little butter knife just incase they decide to bring him back lol:lol:
