I am in the same situation, but I am certain that Maxing potential with your bow and getting a few of the CC spells of sabotage and stealth will be awesome to control the battles for you.
At least that's how I'm trying to evolve my archer.

Max Bow, ally sustains for health (Arcane shield), You want to decrease threat on you when surrounded (Stealth or other), Then choose a spec that suites your playstyle (probably not duelist)
