I've been thinking of not using Anders my next playthrough as a mage and instead be a SH myself. How effective is it when compared to Anders?

I believe Spirit Healer would be more effective than Anders. The only exclusive support spells he has is a revive and group heal, which Spirit healer also has (and is more effective when upgraded).
