So, I imported my Ultimate Sacrifice Warden, and it seems after she died, she married Alistair and together they rule Ferelden.

Kinda sucks the developers left it to screw up like that.  Hopefully the actual game events will play out properly and it's just the codex that is screwed up.

Anyone with a similar save import know?

I dunno, maybe its intended? I mean, Alistar got REALLLY ugly after becoming king, maybe dead chicks are the only people he can pick up now?

Same here. I really hope that is just a glitch though. Anders died in my Awakening game, and his role in DA2 is obviously not a glitch. I hope that the Architect isn't the same thing - it would suck if one of my Warden's most important decisions was retconned away in favour of making a deal with the devil.

Pretty sure the Warden they're talking about is the Orlesian Warden you'd play in Awakening if your original one died in Origins.

I figured this much when Witch Hunt was announced. Why use a DLC specifically tailored around that choice?

Even awakening suggests that the ultimate sacrifice by the warden wasn't the right ending. So that left Loghain, Alistar, or dark ritual..

Must be a bug. The only thing that bugged when I imported my Warden was that Leliana somehow was not in a relationship with the warden. Which is as I have heard caused by the witch hunt import.. Uhhh Witch hunt, one buggy hell of a dlc when it comes to decision importing

Well, I do know David Gaider said they are aware of the Nathaniel bug and are working on it.

As for Leliana, I found out that even if you defiled the ashes and killed Leliana, she's been hand waved back. I did not have any cases myself where I did, but I made a thread asking, and a few people chimed in that they'd killed Leliana, yet she was back.

they brought commander shephard back to life.
why not bring your character from DAO back to life?

Commander Shepard was killed at the beginning of Mass Effect 2 and resurrected during Mass Effect 2 as a part of the storyline.  Handwaving a dead character back to life in a sequel is a bit different.  It would be more like if you let Ashley WIlliams die in Mass Effect, suddenly she's back in Mass Effect 3 with no explanation how she's back.

Not for anything I think the importer is bugged, Nathaniel said I spared the architect, which I'm sure i didn't and i didn't find out till late in the game either so it kinda sucks.

Edit: hmm guess you all knew that.

I had a character who died to stop the Blight, then continued through Witch Hunt. The information in the codex is the same as for OP. It definitely made me chuckle.

The ideal way to handle this would probably be to reattribute our post-Origins choices given sacrifice-death to the Orlesian Warden.

Regarding Witch Hunt -- Morrigan's conversation is totally different if you don't take her offer. She gets mad at you for betraying her. So it's not that the DLC assumes you took the deal.

Indeed.  Witch Hunt dlc was pretty indicative of that.  The ritual must be performed...well, it made the most sense anyways, storywise.

The Old God is around 10 years old now.

You get a quest outside the chantry from Delilah in Act 3 to go find him. Unfortunately it's bugged and not available to everyone, even when everything else imported correctly.

As for Nathaniel saying the Architect is alive, this is a known bug they are working on. The flag is there, but for some reason their subroutines are messed up, and Nathaniel says he's alive no matter what.

Same here. I really hope that is just a glitch though. Anders died in my Awakening game, and his role in DA2 is obviously not a glitch. I hope that the Architect isn't the same thing - it would suck if one of my Warden's most important decisions was retconned away in favour of making a deal with the devil.

I guess Justice is sustaining Anders?

And so far as I can tell, the following is probably 'canon', at least judging by current indications:

Aedan (or whoever - human noble, anyway) Cousland becomes a Grey Warden, saves the Circle of Magi and the Templars, turns the werewolves back to humans, saves the elves, shunts Bhelen in as King, saves Redcliffe, saves Eamon's whole family, has Loghain executed, puts Alistair and Anora in as rulers, does Morrigan's ritual, kills the Archdemon, becomes Warden-Commander, saves Amaranthine and Vigil's Keep, kills the Architect and the Mother, does whatever that stuff in Amgarrak is meant to be about, then passes through the Eluvian with Morrigan.

Anders being in DAII can be explained by the fact that he's possessed by a spirit. He spends the entire game as a walking corpse, he just didn't have much time to decompose.

No, nothing is canon, they've said that repeatedly.  That's the point of letting you import your save game from DA:O.  Now, minor screwups like Anders died in your playthrough, or Leliana did, and they are back, well, those are unforunate things I wish they'd taken into account, but they did not.

Imported my dalish Warden who was left by Alistair on his way to throne, then made the ultimal sacrifice (Alistair wasn't even near the Archdemon so poor elf died), then made through Awakening (even this fact made me lol). In the "Hero of Ferelden" entry everything is correct, but in Alistair's entry it is told he made Warden his queen (again, first - impossible for dalish background, second - she made an ultimal sacrifice).
But Alistair may reaqlly be a bad, bad boy and...
