They are reusing maps and some of the animations aren't actually finished. There is an animation where an enemy body falls apart when you kill it. If you pause it half way through and look at the animation it's disgraceful... they use have random mannequin parts falling on the ground and a splash of blood (including a standard head that did not belong to the victim)...
I do like
+ The Convo wheel
+ The voiced main character
+ The character models, animations and facial expressions etc are a LOT better.
+ The new talent tree is better
+ The ink scene transitions and story boards are pretty cool
+ The music is AMAZING !!! Even better than the first game...
+ I like Hawk or my hawk at least
+ The voice acting is great
I don't like
- The fact that this game clearly isn't finished!!
- The barren landscapes/dead world
- The new darkspawn designs… seriously??
- The presentation isn't even close to DA:O... Like the way the menu opened into a book with codex stored in there. There is no love in the new menu systems. They are cold and functional unlike the first game ...
- General game play is **WAY** too simplified.
- That it feels more like GTA than DA:O
- So far, even though the main character is better, the game feels kind of cold. I think it's because the environments just don't seem lived in, the codex and menu's don't have any life to them anymore...
- Not equipping party members armor is bad... very very bad... And selling DLC outfits won't work like it did for ME because all ready this game doesn't have the immersion that ME does so I don't care what they are wearing. It’s bad that they are doing that in any case... either they just don't get what we like doing or they are trying to get easy money from us. I don't like it.
These are my thoughts on Day 1... I have no comments on story etc yet as it's too early to tell
