Not sure if anyone caught this, but near the end of the game if you talk to Sandal's father he mentions Sandal was extended a place in the Orlesian royal court by the Empress herself. Considering the possible Origin ending of Morrigan, not bearing a child, working her way into the Orlesian court, could this be pointing to the next location for DA3? Personally I would love to learn more about the Orlesians and their neighbor status next to Tevinter. And it'd make sense to see Sandal again as him and his father seem to be the C3PO and R2D2 for the series, appearing in every story.

Uhm the invite wasn't from the king it was from Empress Celene. Who is the current ruler, she was the one Calin was sending letters too that you found in the return to ostagar dlc.

I was thinking the same thing.
I figure its either going to be Orlais or Tevinter, but since Feraldin and Orlais areo n the brink of war theres another reason for it to take place in Orlais. Not to mention its a pretty fleshed out location

I'm expecting Nevarra for DA3. Partly because Cassandra might play a big role and because her family is so prolific in Nevarra, and partly because I imagine Cumberland is going to be a real hotspot in this mage revolution.
But Orlais makes a lot of sense. I really wouldn't be surprised if it was set there, and it would be awesome if it was.

Add in the fact that the Chantries main base seems to be in Orlais since Leliana said she was sent to Krikwall from Orlais by the Divine with the whole templar mage thing going on.

Orlais does make sense considering its one of the largest and most powerful countries in Thedas and its where the Chantry and its Divine are based

oh good point. didn't think about it at the time, but yeah, unless Sandal gets sidetracked (and heck, someone like Sandal doesn't go where others want, he goes where things happen) Orlais is the next destination

Alistair(in DA2 as the king of Ferelden) also points out that he's worried about possible war between Ferelden and Orlais. There can be much to be happen in Orlais if DA3 sets in there.

I also thought this when I heard him say that, and I think that since Orlais wanted to try and take Ferelden back, what would be a better time than when mages from all circles where going to war with the templars.

I just hope our main character isn't Orleasian, god I hate those people.

I'm thinking either Nevarra or Orlais:
Orlais: We've heard a lot about it, Bodahn and Sandal are likely headed there (and they're the R2-D2 and C-3PO of the DA series), it's the seat of power for the Chantry, Morrigan likely spent a lot of time there after DA:O, and they're in the midst of conflict with Ferelden (possibly headed for war). So there's loads of reasons for it to be Orlais.
Nevarra: Cassandra is Nevarran, and the College of the Magi is there, so they would likely be at the center of any Mage-related conflict. Also, Nevarra is nicely positioned in the middle of Thedas, sharing borders with Tevinter, Orlais, and the Free Marches, so you could get a glimpse at a lot of different places from there.
I would love to see Tevinter, and I'm sure wee eventually will but I think that's a bit further down the road.
Of course, the next game could always span more than one country.

Orlais would make sense. But I don't want to be confined almost exclusively inside the walls of Val Royeaux. I hope BioWare can take the time and make it into a big game where we travel elsewhere as well. Perhaps with an imported Hawke or Warden.

I'm thinking it's going to be Orlais. I would absolutely love to play an Orlesian main character -- I want to see the world from a POV that ISN'T Ferelden.

I'm trying to imagine what an Orleasian Dwarf sounds like.

I hope it's Nevarra. It west of the free marches, and not that far from Kirkwall. It's also the only power that can rival Orlais. Nevarra sounds more interesting and I really want to meet Cassandra.

There was mentioning of the Divine growing old and not having an heir picked yet, so I believe the Chantry will play the major role in the next game somehow, given it's build up from DAO and DA3

Been thinking that we seem to be placed in key moments in the world. First to save it from the blight, then to set off the holy war between mages and the circle. So either that tale continues or we could jump to the Qunari war with Tevinter and decide who wins that (as it is going on at the same time).

Im feeling orlais for DA3, but in the same time frame as DAO and DA2. this way you would be able to again experience everything at the same time as everything else.
then in DA4 (if it happens) your character could either be of farelden or orlais and you have to fight in the impending war?

about 90% sure we will be going to Orlais. Anywhere Sandal goes we go it seems. Now if we play as Hawke or not is the real question for DA3.

DAIII will probably start amidst all the chaos.
Mages vs Templars
Qunari vs Tevinter
Orlais vs Ferelden(Alistair said some of the Orlesian nobility wanted to reclaim Ferelden)
And not to mention all the sides will probably have to take sides with the Mage/Templar war. Either side is a powerful ally and if your enemy sides with one you'll probably need the other.
