If you let the Templars take him right at the beginning and then leave Justice in the blackmarsh or let him get killed, how would Anders be able to exist as a Grey Warden and Justice's host in Kirkwall?
What would happen if you didn't recruit Justice or Anders...

Your Origins playthrough will be retcon'd so that Anders became a Grey Warden, became Justice's buddy, and then got possessed. If you played it differently, you've been hit by the canon stick

Yep, contrary to the devs saying there is no cannon play through, it appears that there is indeed some things that are cannon. Wonder if it is going to force the godchild on us?

Anders is canon. I just tried to look at Anders as a different character. Since essentially he was. I didn't like DA2 Anders as much, or maybe I didn't like the voice actor as much. Oh well.
