Impling that I was actively trying to come across a bug is ridiculous. After the Fenris ambush I didn't feel like doing the quest right away, so I did some other things and then later I happened to travel to the cave without Fenris. How criminal and utterly ignorant!Lithuasil wrote...
You only get ambushed by slavers, if you have Fenris in your party, and travel to somewhere outside the city. So after doing that, you have to deliberately go back to the city, to remove fenris from the party before going on HIS companion quest. Not locking him for that specific quest is a glitch, yes. But it's a glitch that takes a dedication nothing short of pure intend, to actually find. To suffer from this glitch, you need to be actively trying to break it, so yes, you can pretty much sayy it's the OP's fault.
Give me a break.
Instead of receiving thanks for warning people about this glitch, I am instead met with a wave of mockery and contempt for accidentally coming across a major bug in a video game. Why do you people give a rat's ass what the circumstances were surrounding it? It's a major bug and it's 100% Bioware's fault that the bug is there, not my fault. No ifs, ands or buts about it. I don't see how anyone can dispute this.
Three words: BUG. FIX REQUIRED.
End of story.
Why are you classifying people who discover bugs as idiots my friend? We don't need to justify why we discover bugs. A game developer's goal is to receive bug feedback from players and fix those bugs, and a bug this large shouldn't even exist in a $60 apparent AAA title.Bakkerbaard wrote...
After all, those of us
who have made anything for use by a bunch of others know that the
consumer is (most likely) an idiot and will break it if it can be
broken.
And yes, I'm aware that Bioware is probably already working on a fix. So... this thread is no longer needed.
