I beat DA2 5 days after purchase, I lost interest in playing
after 2. This is not just a bad game it should be seen as an insult to fans.
They thought they could just throw minimal resources and effort into something,
slap it with a legendary label and it would be well received based on that
alone. The comparisons being made to the MA games are misfounded I think. The
sequels were in line with the original, that is to say an action game with rpg
elements. It was a solid game in that regard and its sequels were judged by the
same standards To label this game as a sequel to DA:O is to insult the fans of
Origins. It's a trend that is getting ridiculous. I can remember going into a
game store and making a purchase list, planning out what I would buy when the
funds became available. Now I go into a game store and am surrounded by naught
but dispassionate, hurriedly developed titles put out for the pure sake of
profit. Then DA:O came along and it rekindled hope that the industry still had
developers that cared about making a good quality product, and they were
rewarded as such. Enter DA:2, and the same lazy, half-hearted, insulting
practices of the industry are thrown at us yet again.
