The only difference is Bethany gets taken to The Circle and Carver willingly joins the Templars.

As far as I know, Bethany will never join the apostates.

If you leave Bethany at home, she gets found by the Templars and joins the Circle. Carver, on the other hand, joins the Templars.

So, Death, Warden, or Templar/Circle.

Bethany already is an apostate. Apostates are just mages outside the circle, they're not like. organized. Frankly, it was lucky that she was conscripted into the circle, as templars usually just kill them.

so when does Bethany come back and help you? is it the mages vs templar part?

does she help regardless of the choice you make regarding Circle or Wardens?

if you sided with the templars, will she be able to help?

If Bethany goes to the Circle, I believe she joins for the final battle phase of mages vs templars.

I've heard that if she becomes a Warden, she'll also contribute in the fight against the Arishok.

hmm i wondered about this as well but ended up siding with the mages and she returned to my group.  I would say she wouldn't join you if you go templars cause that would be certain death for her but then again this game doesn't always make sense.

If you send them to be a Grey Warden do they come back with a specialty ability branch? or do they always have no specialty branch?
