I am in act 2, I completed every quest in act one. Did I miss something else? Did I miss a flier or something? Can I still recruit him in act 2? I am a male mage.

You get a sidequest from a dwarf named Anso in act 1, which leads into a trap that was meant for Fenris.

You get him in Act I in a quest called bait and switch

I did every single quest before I did the deep roads. Must have been a glitch. Wonderful.
Is Fenris a warrior? Because I desperately need another warrior after the loss of Carver.

Yes, it's a 2H warrior.

Fenris was a pretty minor character though.

It is a side quest, you can choose to ignore those.

I am really bummed I liked switching between Carver and Aveline. Especially since Carver didnt need as much micro managing health wise. Without Carver and his 2h skill tree I am stuck with Aveline, who I dont dislike but wouldnt mind having another warrior. I did every side quest as well which is just as frustrating. Something must have glitched.

You start the quest to get Fenris with a note at Gamlen's house. Perhaps you forgot to check your messages?
