How to use them?
I've got no idea how it works. I also don't know how to get mobs disoriented and stuff.

Dunno, try reading a little in codex?

There are skills that upgraded provide something like 600% extra damage if enemy have a special "Status".
I can take for example my Elemental mage and two handed warrior.
My mage can Brittle enemies, warrior can use that to do extra damage. What I did is to set-up Tactics so that skills having an affect Brittled enemies will only be used if an enemy is Brittled.

The Cross class Combo system mainly depends on the attack of a class and the other class exploit this type of attack, so a larger damage is caused... To be able to use this feature, all the spells should be upgraded
For example, a Shield Bash ( with Pummel upgrade) is used against an enemy, you see it staggered ( you know it is staggered from the icon above its head ), now it's the time for the mage to exploit this, by using "Fist of the Maker" spell (with Maker’s Hammer upgrade). The damage caused by Fist of the Maker spell will be 900% the normal damage, that means if it causes 70 damage, it will cause 630 damage. You can know each damage when you highlight each spell in the Abilities Screen.

Ah, thank you very much, both of you.
I think I should be able to do it now. ^^

Also note (as I didn't know this at first either), that you can set up specific tactics for a companion to do something when an enemy is in one of those three states. Rather neat to help encourage companions to execute cross-class combos.

Also note, that you must turn on the status icons in game within the gameplay or graphics menu.
