Sorry, but in this point I really feel strongly, that the new Elfs are UGLY. I almost cried at the cameo of Zevran. Good riddance, Elfs now look like Asia Elfs genetically interbred with cows or sheep!

Terrible. Just terrible. I really hope Bioware goes back to the DA1 Elf model. I liked that WAY better, and since my Warden was Dalish (see my icon) I am just fixed on how he is supposed to look.

I like the direction they are going, just that they need a little more work. But I'd put that on the below average graphics engine the game uses. I think the whole point of their new look, is to make them look more feral looking.

I really hope they don't. I like the new look Merrill looks way better then Isabella (and she's supposed to be the hot one) then again it's either every elf has an extemely slim body or every human female is busty with a big **** take your pick.

I actually did'nt mind how the elves looked, in particular the Dalish. I mean,to me in the previous game elves where just humans with pointy ears.

Of what I've seen so far i like the look of Merrill but I agree that most others are a cross between creatures I saw in Morrow wind and the critters in Avatar. I like very much some of the art changes in DA2 but the elves are homely indeed.

I disagree. With the sole exception of the too-thin bodies, I like the new look. There was no "DA1 elf model" - it was just human with pointy ears.

I like that DA2 elves are more alien, less human. It does take some getting used to, but I really rather like the look. I like that they look, well... ELVEN... not just starved human with prosthetics stuck to their ears.

Not really correct.  There was a different base head morph model for elves, dwarfs, humans, quanri and children.

(Though the changes might not be big enough to distinguish a great deal.)

Sure, Elfs are not just humans with pointy ears. But if you need to distort their faces to deliver that, I call that FAIL. Maybe it is about their culture and their thinking rather?

THis is just a kowtow towards "Avatar" and the Asia fans. These Elfs made me puke. I passionately, vividly hate them. I use the word hate well chosen in describing my feeling for the DA2 Elfs.

But getting back on topic. The Elves in this game remind me of Final Fantasy XI Elves that and they also look a bit like Avatars as well. It doesn't bother me personally. But those Dwarf eyes look freaky don't you think?

I dig the Dalish' new Welsh accents, that and their eerie, green eyes makes them quite leprechaun-y. At least it' mixes things up from the racial, and general, blandness that was Origins.

I like them the guard you saw when you first met them made me take a step back the rest of them I saw looked fine. I also like the idea there going with trying to give each race there own look.

I thought the elves were pretty flat, and overall too thin.

 Yeah, I cringed everytime they came in view (hands). I like the Elve's new look, though I think the males need to eat more meat. They's scrawny.

Yeah, I also dislike the new looks of the elves. They feel like a pale version of the blue aliens from Avatar :/

Yeah the dwarf eyes are indeed creepy, especially Sandal. My god his stare hurts my soul!

some of the random background npcs look really... weird, and not just "alien, another race" weird but like, creature from splice mated with Avatars weird

I also dislike the new look for the elves, they look hideous, they look like a cross between Warcraft elves, Avatar blue people, and anime.And I can almost see sheep head when I look at some of them.
