The Sebastian Achievements are all bugged. They are working on that, they won't unlock in the Xbox version whatever you do. Sucks since I was going for completion because there are no annoying achievements which require a certain difficulty setting. I didn't get the Epic achievement either, play the game two times, became viscount, no epic unlocked. Hope it's not actually a mistake and you need to import a savegame. I accidentally bought DA 2 for Xbox but I have DAO for PS3...
Sorry but it looks like Epic does unlock when using an imported save, but doesn't unlock for those that playthrough twice. Hopefully they will have fixed this in the first patch so that those who haven't played DA:O or have it for another platform will be able to unlock this.

Perhaps, try that. If you don't have one, that sucks.

Now how oh how did they miss this during testing? Really 2 play throughs and it's bugged for this achievement how did this get messed up? This comes from ****** poor testing of the game and just plain ole rushed gaming to get money/get paid. I really hate that this game got rushed out in this state. Something as simple as 2 play throughs can't get that achievement....phaw!

What makes me wonder is how to miss the bug in the Sebastian achievements... I mean they unlock over just one playthrough and they are easy as pie, to quote Varric. Getting his friendship is by far the most difficult of those since he is such an awfully faithful annoying bastard. *lol* How can it be test players don't realize they don't unlock on Xbox?

For instance, Playthrough 1 was Isabella, Playthrough 2 was Anders, and Playthrough 3 was Merril. It overlapped all three names over each other on playthrough 3 and similar for playthrough 2.

Does anyone else who has the bug noticed that during Varrics speech the name of the person who didn't leave is glitched? It overlays the "except X" text over each other, I think from the previous characters.

It is a known issue on the boards, mostly due to who you flirt with during the playthrough from what I have seen though.

Personally I would have played this game through at least twice anyway, but having lost all my DAO save games when my HD crashed, it is really annoying that 3 full playthroughs can't even yield 100% achievements. Just hoping for some information and praying the fix makes this achievement retroactive.

I've been searching for any comment from Bioware saying anything about this issue and the possibility of it being fixed, but have come up empty-handed... I haven't played a Bioware game since Neverwinter Nights, and I see that they have not improved since then. I know its cliche and typically makes people sound like entitled brats, but I have better things to spend my money on then half-assed games. If the "Epic Achievement" thing was the ONLY problem that this game had, I could overlook it and just hope that they fixed it promptly. But there are so many BLATANT problems with this game that should have been addressed PRE-RELEASE, that I don't feel this company deserves any of my money. Push the game back a month, fix your problems, and quit using paying customers as beta-testers for your games. Lazy development and poor game design.

Yes I understand how angry many of you are that this game was rushed. However the game was rushed due to EA forcing Bioware to have the game ready for first quarter launch. It's not Bioware's fault. EA owns Bioware now and as such Bioware has to do what their parent company tells them to do.
Maybe EA will learn from this mistake and let Bioware make games as they used to making sure they put out quality games that are as bug free as possible. Until then there isn't a damned thing anyone can do.

Yeah, this isn't my first video game, and wont be my last... Nor is it my first Bioware or EA title. I also understand that title updates are commonplace in the "Next Gen" marketplace and that even not all titles get any sort of update to relieve problems that arise because of poor design/development or rushed deadlines... However, I don't pay 60-100 dollars for regular/collectors editions of games so I can be a beta tester (To my knowledge, some of those people actually get PAID for their time).
In the real world, when your boss tells you "Heather, I need this done by next week for the big presentation." if you were to make a few cardboard cutouts and put some glitter on them, you would likely be fired... (granted you aren't working for Southpark) Parent companies PAY the developers to make a product, they give them a deadline and say "get to it." They don't give unreasonable deadlines... I'm sure EA reps didn't invade Bioware HQ on March 6th and say "Ok people... Dragon Age II, Tomorrow." No, they gave them time to market, test, tweak, work on and complete a game.
I noticed that when loading up the end save the "Congrats, you beat the game! Wait till we have some DLC you can buy" is the first thing that greets me, and works PERFECTLY fine every time... When I see Meredeth however, half the time she is a colorless glob standing on my screen being angry at me.
As ~I~ said, if the "Epic Achievement" was the ONLY problem that the game had, I wouldn't be so bothered. But the entire game is B.R.O.K.E.N. Textures to Story, cutscene to gameplay, beginning to end... And its been at least a MONTH with nothing to show for it but "this should be fixed shortly." when it SHOULD have been fine when the game came out... I've seen title updates come as soon as a day after the actual release of a game. A week is acceptable. A month is lazy.
This game HAD a lot of potential to be amazing, but in reality after seeing how little the amount of care was put into this game really went into it... I am just waiting for the update so I can get my final achievement and sell this game... (I should make mention that I haven't even sold/traded "Deadliest Catch: Alaskan Storm")
