i love the dragon age series. love it!
i played through DA:O so many times and download all kinds of DLC for
it. i went to the midnight release of Awakening and when Witch Hunt
came out i damn near died. so needless to say i have been looking
forward to DA2 for a long time and i had the highest expectations for
it. big surprise, im disappointed. im not going to go into all the
thing that i thought was good or bad about it (TOO SHORT). I am,
however, going to complain about this. WHAT HAPPENED!?!? i have
been dieing to know/see about the child morrigan and the warden had.
what about the architect? what happen with that? what did morrigan
mean when she told you about her mother and the mirrors in witch
hunt? i had so many questions and they were left unanswered!
COME ON!!! i have been waiting forever for this!
GIVE ME SOMETHING!! they VAUGELY hinted at some of these
but still that's not enough! an expansion pack like awakening better
come out soon for DA2 or i am giving up on ever knowing these things. anyone else upset as i am?

There's definitely a direct sequel from the way it played out...but honestly with all the loose ends, i'm not sure how they can tie all in. I hope they have a plan!!!

Some loose ends like the god-child aren't canon: if it happens in your DA:O, it doesn't necessarily happen in everyone else's playthroughs. Given how massive of a plot point that would be, it doesn't surprise me that they didn't add in a major bit of content for it. Keep in mind that this game is more of a "same world game" rather than a "sequel" game.

I agree, wou;d be great to get some sort of closure on the hole morrigan thing, but it seems DA2 has presented a hole bunch of new loose ends Rofl, but oh well, thats the fun of it all i suppose ^^

There will definitely be a direct sequel to this story, especially since the endings don't vary as much as they did in Origins. As either way the story results in an all out war between Templars and their Mage charges.

I'm excited to see which direction this war will go in, especially seeing as no matter what happens in Kirkwall, just about all the circle towers in Thedas use this as a reason to rebel.

I think the Old God Baby can be considered cannon, seeing how the Dark Ritual ending was marked at the 'default' backstory for DA:2.

That said, I don't see why the questions from Origins would be answered in DA 2 anyway. Hawke's story really had no relation to the Warden's. They were so far removed from each other that it would to me, seem kind of goofy for everything to just 'pop up'. Unless of course that mirror of Merril's ended up actually working. Meh.

I totally agree.  Besides the original premise of this story is that it started at the same time as DA:O.  Sure, you could bring in "Creepy Love Child" baby toward the end, but it would've seemed like a half-way attempt to do it.

I actually thought the mirror would've worked for something though.  I was definitely disappointed in that aspect.  And Flemeth's role seemed a bit odd too, almost out of place.  I also wished that plot/story line would've gone some where.  Maybe it'll all be tied together if there's a third installment.  **fingers crossed**

At the end of DA2 its only been 6 years since the warden talked to morrigan at the mirror. The kid wont be god like yet at that age.

Unless Bioware breaks down their rule and have a canon ending to these games there is no future development with Morrigan. For the God Child to Exist it means that a canon ending happened - The Dark Ritual Happened.

Pulling the questions out of your wall o' text, here's some answers:

1.  The OGB is not canon.  Not everyone did the DR.  Bioware has said it won't be canon.  They may change their mind, but it would be a crappy decision, IMO.

2.  The Architect is dead in a lot of people's games.  So that's what happened to him.  Again, no canon, and shouldn't be.

3.  We have no idea what Morrigan meant, since this game wasn't about her, wasn't about Flemeth, and wasn't about the Eluvians - even though it easily could have been, since Merrill had one and spent most of the game trying to repair it.

4.  Am I upset?  Yes, but not over these things.
