Here is my analysis:
1) Amanda is trapped in a prison/interrogation room, this is obvious from the framed one-way mirror or just plain window, as well as the camera videos only showing the inside of the room.

2) I believe the reason she is trapped onto this device is because the reapers want her for trade/captivity and hired mercenaries to get her. This is why we see a mercenary standing on guard.

3) It seems like Amanda knows much more than just having evidence of possible civilizations before protheans. Either the reapers don't want this "information" to be out in the public or because they simply need it for themselves.

4) The device that Amanda is trapped in also looks like a biotic nullifier(just look how they made her completely inactive). I don't know if human scientists can recieve biotic implants but maybe she somehow naturally recieved these biotic powers, hence the value in her captivity?

5) The other man inside the interrogation room is using a omni-tool possibly to disable the device Amanda is trapped in. At the same time he is using his omni-tool all the videos on display are getting disoriented. Perhaps one part of your mission if figuring out how to disable everything temporarily. it would make sense if it is Shepard disabling the device and coming to rescue Amanda.

6) If the mercenaries are indeed Batarians as you guys say, this could possibly be the start of a new relationship between the reapers and batarians starting with the trade of their most hated species, Humans. The Batarians may have a bigger role in the attack on Earth than we expected...

This of course, are just some general ideas I am getting out of the screenshot and information we have. I do not actually believe that my analysis is going to be true at all. It could just be some test chamber in which the green button causes some horrible pain to a girl who doesn't even have to be Amanda.

I hope there's more to the DLC rather than sneak inside Batarian Facility, save Dr. Kenson, get Object Rho and then the ultimate sacrifice.

Well Overlord and Shadow Broker were about 3 missions long. Well Overlord was 4 short missions, while Shadow Broker was one long one broken up into 3 seperate sections. It will probably be as long as that.

Because EA/BioWare discovered facebook and they keep on thinking on more idiotic ways of using it for promotional purposes. At least the guard at the front of the picture doesn't look batarian to me ... he just looks similar to the human "eclipse" mercs ... similar armour style, different battern and colour.

They'll most likely to come as a cliff hanger, entering the Galaxy! I actually can't wait to hear what excuse the turian counciller will come up with when you say reapers are attacking Earth!
