Homefront. The SP is way too ****ing short, it only took me a small 4 hours to beat, the game has moving momments, I'll admit to that, there were times in the game that I did have an emotional response, more so toward the end when you kicking the **** out of the North Koreans. But it was just too short, and the enemies always seemed to take more hits to kill than it takes for you to die.
Also Multiplayer is built purely on a COD framework, yet runs pretty smooth, however given the huge distances and level sizes, as well as being unable to pcik where you'ld like to fight short of hosting a game is a huge downside. The game is also clearly made for big screen TVs, in frustration I stoped playing as I kept getting shot half a map away by people I could barely just see in my MG sites. And I have an average sized TV, also team work is next to non-exsistant, even on a team, watch your own back, or a knife will be placed in it.
A moving story, and thats about it, if I want to see a short story I want to see a ****ing movie, not have it cut into my game time. I mainly bought this out of my love for Freedom fighter on the GC, but there are so many small things in this game that make it stink, I will be selling my copy at the first of next month back to gamestop, saddly I won't get but a fraction back.
So yeah Thanks alot Homefront, for ruining what I hoped would be a great adventure, and not another COD shooter title.
I Is a sad, sad Panada, so, so sad, and short of $60.....

Don't even get me started on the DRM.

Probably Command and Conquer 4, not only did they completely change the gameplay, it also had the most anticlimactic ending to a game series ever.

Wait you actully played CNC4? You poor, poor soul, I feel pitty for you and the soul that was surely crushed, as that was the worst CNC game ever. I pretend it never was real.

I bought it on the cheap during the Steam sale and yes it was truely terrible. Fortunately I reinstalled Tib Sun and my soul was miraculously saved.

Saddly true and 90% of its play base is all hype who don't know a good shooter, and funny enough not old enough to even legally own the game. Then you have the Call of Duty fans like my Friend on X-box live, never tell him anything in that game is wrong, or he won't talk to you for weeks, like him jumping around shooting people with an AK, or me being shot hell the far away with one. Both are not possible, or at least very hard, and I would know as I own the damn gun and am an Expert Marksmen. But noooooooo I'm clearly wrong. Or oh yes that KGB knife hitting people like 90 feet away, when it doesn't have that kind of range, or hell pretty much all the aiming sights not being around at that time for the most, plus a number of the weapons or other gear. Or the weapon stats being all wrong. Nevermind the space based levels for the "Most realistic shooter made" according to him.
Well, aside from the halo kiddies invading, the mini-lag/hit detection and the worst spawn system ever, it's not terrible.
Now, as far as worst game played this year, are games that came out this year only counted, or just worst you've played this year?

Dragon Age 2. sadly. Most dissapointing game for me since Gothic 3. I really hope Act 2 is better, Act 1 were 30 hours of (mostly) not very interesting filler, and hardly any story at all.
Atleast finish the game before you rate it man.

I still haven´t rated it, for that reason. I don´t hate the game either, just dissapointed. I play BW games for story and companion interaction mostly. I should be more than halfthrough the game and there´s been very little of that. I do hate the teleporting enemies spawn system. NM is not frustating, but tedious.

Fable 3, I picked it up back in January.
What a letdown. Lionhead is an overrated studio. They could've done so much with that concept, but they blew it.
You didn't learn the first 2 times eh ?Fable was still good. Fable 2 was ok, and I knew not to get Fable 3.
For me .. Dragon age 2
I'm kidding ... its Civilization V. 2 tries later and I'm back at playing Civ IV's FFH 2 mod.
Yeah, see, I LOVED the first Fable. Was probably the game I played the most on original Xbox.
Fable 2 sucks, hardcore, I think. I've never even been able to force myself to beat it. But Fable 3 looked interesting...being king, the whole 'revolution' thing and all that. Nobody has really done something like that. But they frickin' blew it.
I'm not the kind of guy thats like, "Oh, well, they aren't getting my next $60!" But they really aren't.

I'm actually really suprised no one mentioned the fact that he called the, imo, single greatest adventure game released, crappy/overrated (also, i am not using adventure as a broad term encompassing anything where you explore, im talking about well, games like zelda)

I beat Homefront early this morning and I agree. I'm able to forgive the CoD cloned gameplay, but the story was good and I kept hoping the length would make everything worthwhile. But then I get to the end of the Golden Gate Bridge and...nothing. What a waste of an interesting setting.

As for 2011 releases, I haven't really played a game I'd consider bad/mediocre/disappointing but I only played like 3 games released in 2011.

Dead Space 2. Fewer boss fights, odd PC motivations and convoluted story. Was a disappointment.
