So an employee of Bioware can't enjoy the game? And on the other hand, you have hundreds of trolls making fake accounts just to rate it 1/10. Deal with it.

I'm sure there are rules where you have to disclose that you are an interested party. That's how most occupations work.

Reviewing your own game smells of corruption especailly when you give it a 10.

...So what?
I'm sure this happens all the time.

It's not like it's some consipiracy.
People want people to play their games.

He's not criticizing the review... he's pointing out a bioware employee reviewed the game with a perfect score without stating they work for bioware... it's a little shady.

Only if it were a professional review. Which it was not. Its not any more or less shady than someone making fake accounts to post more negative user reviews.

Oh, I'm sure that never happens. Image IPB

Well, I followed the same trail as OP's link did and sure enough, I found the same data. Amazing how you can track people down on the Internet.

Combine this story with the story with the Russian version of Social Bioware telling them to pad Metacritic's user scores and this is just sad.

Seriously, we still live in a day and age where people will respect you more if you come out and "own" things rather than denial, or shady damage control.

Seriously? Is ONE game that BIG of a deal? I have to agree It breaks my damn heart that the game didn't go as good or better than the first one, but I still SOMEWHAT enjoyed it. Some people liked it better than origins, some are fanboys and praise everything, some didn't like it, some are haters. This is natural, Is this SUCH a HUGE DEAL for people, so they have to make up these "Dragon age 2 conspiracy" blogs, Spend endless hours on teh forums posting some man-giraffe-dog pics, and then someone going into a rampage spamming anti-gay shouts and posting pictures of men kissing saying "is this normal to you?"
IT'S JUST A GAME! Get Over it sheeeesh!

That was a fan website, not endorsed or sponsored by EA or Bioware. This is a known issue, but you try to bring it up anyway as an example of Bioware malfeasance.

...Good job! Cobra Commander will be pleased.

Ah, a co-worker told me it was corporate. I stand corrected.

Explain to me how you think Bioware has anything to do with this.

I would condemn both.  The people who are probably creating multiple accounts to 0/10 it are just as bad as an employee who doesn't do full disclosure when doing a user review.

This story, if true, is pretty lame.  However, this is just one employee(most likely).  Unless this was a concerted effort by Bioware as a company, then there is no voert corruption except in this one employee.

In the end, this needs to be condemned, but it's not that big a deal as long as it was just this one guy.

As much as I'm disgusted with DA2, there is nothing wrong with rooting for your own team.

Let Bioware employees write all the reviews they want.  Everyone deserves an opinion biased or not.

Unfortunately, I don't think this will spawn a good honest discussion, but it does have relevance to the question of the game's reception.

Nice detective work LOL.  Pretty sad if it's true, pretty sad indeed!

Yeah, there's a bunch of 10 reviews of DA2 popping up on Metacritic now...

They are as baseless and false as all the 0 reviews of course.. HA... Shows you just how much this game splits the audience.

They are supposed to declare that they work for Bioware otherwise it's seen as shady and underhanded.

Companies do this all the time. It's less of a conspiracy and more of a fact of life.

Still, this is rather pathetic if true. An engineer at Bioware dismissing everyone elses' gripes with the game as overreactions and calling the game flawless to boot. That's just sad.

Really, really pathetic. Bioware-authorized or not.
