Lets be honest though...

If we worked at Bioware that's EXACTLY what any of us would have done

Don't lie to yourself

No, not all of us are amoral idioits. Some people have integrity.

I wonder if you would be saying the same thing if your job/wages were on the line?

Yes exactly Bioware puts people's jobs on the line if they don't post good reivews of their shabby games

Nobodies going to get fired because they didn't post a morally questionable review. The concept is ludicrous.

I would give a review yes.But I would never give DA2 10/10 it's just not 10/10 material.

Probably fairly fast, true or not. DA2 is turning into a PR nightmare for EA.

Maybe he feels the game is 10/10?
Then again the game is not 0/10 material either and look at metacritic reader reviews.

Congrats op...your sharing news that EVERYONE in this world knows about. Companies do it all the damn time. BW wasnt the 1st and it wont be the last.

It would have looked better if he hadn't posted it so close to release and been the first good review on display at metacritic.

No doubt every publisher and/or dev team who has ever released a bad, flimsy or plain average game has done it's share of infiltration of metacritic. I'm sure there are heap tons of viral marketing people who specialize in attempts to manipulate MetaCritic and other mediums broadcasting public opinion. This doesn't mean it wouldn't be morally..er,questionable.

Bust itself is hilarious!!:DHuge kudos to whoever did the detective work. Must be very embarrassing to get caught red handed like this.

Two copper coins says that if gaming media deems this worth of circulation, Bioware forces the poor guy to release some kind of a "I did it all alone in dark of the night! !My crime was committed behind backs of my boss, coworkers and friends!"-type of a crucifiction.

This forum makes me laugh with people making mountains out of mole hills, I never said anyone would get fired, my question pertained to integrity and at which point that integrity would be thrown out with the rubbish.

That is the mark of an ethically corrupt organization right there. Can't let the game stand on it's own merit? Do a better job next time.

Safe to assume Bioware is now the new Rare?

On second thoughts Rare was brought out by Microsoft while EA just put tight leash's on and whipped the Bioware boys around a little.

I think a lot of people are over reacting about this. It was one person who made a bad decision from what I've seen, I'm not condemning bioware over it but because of the poor reception this game has had since the release day it just seems unwise that the first review on metacritic was a 10 by Avanost, especially with the hostile atmosphere of this board currently.

Reviews that give the game 10/10 should be looked at extremely cautiously (and not taken seriously). Those that give it a 0/10 should be strait up ignored. The fact is someone can see DA2 as being a masterpiece, but I don't believe anyone with any sense or desire to pass far judgment would rate this game a 0/10 or even a 2/10. In the BIG picture of games, those which are around 20% or lower are unplayable messes that next to nobody enjoys.

Personally I only trust the reviews that give this game somewhere in-between 4/10 to 9/10. Any higher or lower than that is too extreme and hints at a very bias opinion.

In light of the other reviews on metacritic I don't think it's that big of a concern.

I gave this game a 3/10, mostly because I have 0 desire to play again, I've tried 4 times now to get through act 1 with a second play through and every time I pick it up I'm already bored after 30 minutes of play, nothing about it is compelling and the overall feel of the game is just bad, thus warranting a low score from me.  ME, ME2, DA:O, all made me want to keep playing even after a few playthroughs.

Just you wait, there's more to come... A lot more...

Doubt me? Just check some pages back, I happen to be able to see into the future.
