So, i'm at "The last straw" right now i'm facing a pride demon and alot of shades, the problem is i sided with the mages thus both my warriors left (fenris and aveline) So, what the hell.. Can't kill 'em, just can't, playing on hard atm with: Isabelle, Anders, Merill, me - archer.
Isabelle is the only one who isn't screwed in close combat, i don't eaven have time to take a healing pot when they attack anders or merill, low hp, knocked back every time those shades hit them. If i start using AoE they'll just go for everyone, can't keep the healing up when i'm beeing hit like 3 times every sec (and knocked back!)

my plan now is to specc isabelle and varric defensive and let my archer and anders destroy them from range.

so, you've got any tips?

also;
If i manage to kill these, will i have to finish the game without a tank?

I was in the opposite set of circumstances - deprived my healer because I sided with the templars. It is annoying how things were structured that way; I had to tone down my difficulty based on a roleplaying choice.

You do get a chance to have your sibling back, so you might get some use out of Carver. Otherwise you are stuck.

Haha, All my party members stayed.
Except Fenris, but I never used him so I didn't miss him.

If he is an acher then he won't be getting Carver.  I had this problem as well and had to turn down the difficulty to get by.

You didn't have the proper friendship level with them. They won't leave then. Well, I had max friendship with Fenris, but he left. Then I convinced him to rejoin once we got to the Gallows.

What?  Now that's weird.  I had max friendship with Fenris but he never left when I sided with the mages...  I didn't have to convince him of anything.  Maybe some story decisions prior to this have an effect as well.

Anyway, I was just checking to see if anybody had a strategy for those demons... sounds almost impossible, since you can't go back to buy potions or anything.  Good luck OP.

apparently you really dont need to have max friendship with fenris in order to convince him to rejoin you, when he left with the templars i just told him to join me and it just reminded him that his reason for fighting was to abolish slavery. Also idk if any of you have done this but i was able to romance both marril and isabella one of the funniest thing when i kissed isabella and marril was right there beside her and proceeded to kiss her too i thought to myself that damn im such a player lol.

You can buy potion's from Sandal after the Orisino battle, he's set up shop in one of the rooms.
