So I went into Gamestop on Sunday to pick up Super Mario All-Stars, but also to see if I could buy a code for Exiled Prince for $7 so that I wouldn't have to pay for a whole $20 point card to redeem. Of course, I can, but along the way I notice a few copies of the Signature Edition sitting on the shelf. I asked how much they were charging for the SE, to which the cashier says "same price."
WHAT!? I was under the impression that I could not get my hands on the Signature Edition because I had passed the early deadline. I have even seen Twitter updates about stores with the SE in stock and available for no extra cost. I went to the midnight launch and everything, even bought myself a collector's edition strategy guide, but wasn't able to get a SE because my name wasn't on one -- but now I see that if I had just waited a few days and not been such a fanatic, I could've cheated the system.
I love you, Bioware, and you'll get your DLC money from me soon enough, but I can't help but feel dirty for loving you so much.
A little upset, not at the game though.
