i hope i can pre-load the DA:O DDE via steam soon its a 20 gig i think and i want to play the day launch...not a week later...

I am beginning to think you made the right decision. I'm usually happy with Steam, but unless they figure out some kind of pre-load I foresee a really frustrating download. 20gb with all that traffic at once...not good.

The Left 4 Dead 2 demo is also being released on November 3rd too... so you can all bet that Steam will be lagging really, really, really badly. Starting to regret purchasing the DDE on Steam, but it's such a great service that I've never had trouble with in the past.
My solution is to simply plan to begin playing on the 5th. Keep those hopes low, folks, so as to prevent the freak outs.

Hope folks come back to steam from D2D now. I *much* prefer steam, personally. Ive never had a clean experience with D2D content on release day. Mostly around DRM and installation troubles
