Would be nice if she could live, makes the DuPuis decision seem a little pointless, if you arrest or kill him you simply only have the gamlen option in the all that remains quest, it doesn't really effect anything.

That's what I've read. I believe someone got a response from David Gaider on the issue, and he confirmed that she dies no matter what.
Yeah, that was me. David sent me a PM with the confirmation that Leandra dies no matter what you do.

You are obviously entitled to your opinion, but I find that response to be unsettling.cipher86 wrote...
Her death scene was hilarious, I kid you not I was laughing at the whole thing. I reloaded it a few times to see the different lines Hawke delivered and all of them seemed detached from the moment, it seems the VA had trouble taking the whole "stitched up mother giving final words" thing seriously.

Whose sick minded idea was it to turn Hawke's mom into Frankenstein?
You didn't like Hawkenstein?

There was an amazing lack of outrage and anger in that whole section. I so wanted my character to be pissed off and raging at the killer. I wanted the option to tear him limb from limb.
I was looking for that option myself, when I came to it. Hawk's response all seemd a triffle too mild for one coming upon the guy who turned you mom into a patchwork doll.

I'm kind of glad you couldn't save her. When the camera panned to show the stiches around the neck my mouth instantly dropped open. It was one of the best parts of the game imo (And this is comming from someone who considers DA2 better then DA:O)
Same. The only quest that actually surprised me.

Don't come into the spoiler forum if you don't want spoilers. Duh.

Actually people shouldn't do this if for no other reason than it can pop up in the last reply summary while browsing the forums as a whole.

It certainly got more of an emotional response from me than any moment in origins did

While that is true, they don't need to come into the spoiler forums and mention it, because it is IN the spoilers forum.Noatz wrote...
Its likely the most emotional scene in the game or one of them, but I agree that Hawke's responses seem a bit... neutered. It appears that his field of possible reactions at that point don't express what the player themselves are feeling.Don't come into the spoiler forum if you don't want spoilers. Duh.

This was probably one of my favourite moments of the whole game and I felt the whole range of emotions my Hawke must have been feeling then starting with throwing every spell I had at the guy who'd done that to my mother until he was dead

Definitely one of the most powerful moments for me too. I totally unloaded everything on that guy right after the cutscene. Too bad he didn't put up much of a fight.

Same here. I really thought that was the silliest thing in the entire game. The killer should have just stabbed her in front of you.cipher86 wrote...
