 Does Sebastian appear in the game at all if you do not have Exiled Prince? His perspective, especially in Act 3, seems absolutely critical to the events of the game, and I can't imagine not having him as a story element. As a playable NPC, I could take or leave him -- but as an overall story element, he is essential.

[Slightly heavier spoilers follow] I'm primarily concerned for my friends who could not pre-order the game in advance. If Exiled Prince merely adds Sebastian's personal side quest (to avenge his family), and adds him as a party member, then I'll advise them to buy the DLC later when they have some extra cash. If you need Exiled Prince to meet Nightingale, or to see the confrontation towards the end of Act 3.... then I'd tell my friends to shell out the extra cash immediately.
