Well, here is the play by play. She said she wanted me and as a gorgeous, suave gnome with poor judgment I of course agreed. Then I completed an entire dungeon. The next time I slept she told me she was doing everything too quickly and that we should stop, but that she would stay with my group no matter how difficult it would be.
At that point I posted here asking for some assistance, then dug around a little and found out how to use the clua console to check the numbers. Once I figured out how to use the thing it told me the variable with her was set to 2. From what other sources have said, 3 indicates a broken relationship, and 2 is exclusive relationship, so I don't really get it. It also said I was at love point (my term, I forget the one it really is) 49, and it is supposed to end fully at 48 no matter what.
I can live with the outcome, because honestly I picked the option the character would have done as an impulsive character, but I am worried she might bail on the group or something and that would stink. I would also like to continue the chain into ToB when I arrive at that point.
Does she go farther than what I indicated to change the '2' into a '3' so that we can't pursue things further in ToB or will that reset things a little bit? That could work. It would make sense actually, having the 2 impulsive, naive people struggle with things, then figure it out when they are wiser and more worldly.

Bg2;
I think she will leave but could be wrong here... old memory you understand. The true romance ends with the baby. I think in her case there is an extra number to account for the you, Aerie and Haer'Dalis triangle but that's just a guess.
ToB; regardless of BG2 plot you can get her back in party as long as she was not chunked e.g. the silver sword.
