is there a way to keep bethany as a playable char? she dies when i took her i heard she goes to the cicrle if you dont. does that means she stays alive and you are able to use her in rest of game?

i thought bethany always is a playable character unless you a mage . but imstill in chapter 1.

If you have anders in your deep roads group, you get the option of Bethany becoming a Grey Warden, however, she still is unplayable in the 2nd act (also depending on which side you choose for the final battle she can become a playable character again) but once you finish act one your family is pretty much out of the picture with regards to being part of your group

You can get her to join your party at the end of Act 3 during the conflict with the Mages and Templars provided she is still alive. While I'm not certain if it requires specific choices being made or not (outside of her living) I know she was there when I sided with the Templars and killed Anders.

Definitely requires some choices, I sided with the mages and couldn't select her until the fight inside the Circle Tower.

no matter what you cannot have bethany throughout your game

she does make appearances like you said in both act 2 and 3 (playable at the end)

I brought anders into the deep roads, and i didnt get the option of her becoming a gray warden....

I am already sick of having anders as my constant healer, I wanted a different mage healer for my second play through!

Both Bethany and Anders have to be in your party during the Deep Roads in order for her to have the opportunity to become a Grey Warden, same thing goes for Carver if your playing through as a Mage.

Anders doesn't do the joining - he just takes you to the Grey Wardens.

Are you allowed to leave her behind? If I do what will happen? Is the best thing to keep her alive to take both her and Anders and side with the mages or will she stay alive if I side with the templars?

If you;ve finsihed the game, you know that it is Varric, or someone else who gets captured by the rogue templars.  If Bethany (or Carver) is alive, one of your companions is not get captured - it is Bethany/Carver in their place.  So the best chance of survival for Bethany/Carver is for you to leave them with Mother.

You take her to the Deep Roads: She dies.
You take her to the Deep Roads along with Anders: She survives. becomes a Grey Warden but she won't be recruitable until the last battle.
You leave her at home: The Templars will discover her and force her into the Circle. Also recruitable only during the last battle.

I always thought it's better to make her a Warden. You know, as a mage she won't have to hide anymore.
