I keep hearing about DA:O cameo's, but the only one i've got so far is Lelliana, I was wondering about the others and how to get them. (without the obvious need for them to survive Origins off course). 

If someone could enlighten me, i would apreciate it.

I saw Alistair, he sends you a letter in Act 3 if he's king. I saw Zevran and Nathaniel Howe in Act 3 too. Not sure how. And Leliana at the end.

Alistair was a drunk in the hanged man (I exiled him), you see bann teagen yell at alistair as well. Nathanial, Zevran, and Leliana are in act 3

If you get drunk Alistsair he is in all 3

Zevran you'll hear about if you meet a certain group of Antivan fellows in... hightown I think ? By act 3. They'll task you with finding him and killing him for a price, but you can side with him instead of course.

Alistair you'll find at the end of act 2 if he is still a grey warden. Or in the hanged man if he is exiled. Otherwise you'll just hear about him if he is king, I think. Not sure what happens -if anything- if he died killing the archdemon.

I really didnt like the cameos personally. They felt tacked on to me

There's also a quest where you need to rescue Nathaniel from the Deep Roads.
