I'm currently trying to do the The Awiergan Scrolls quest line (currently on The Awiergan Scrolls: Pride Unbound)
however for the love of god I can't find the area. I've tried looking everywhere and resorted to looking at guides. Apprently the area I'm supposed to go is outside Anders clinic, however can't find anything.

Is this me being an idiot? or is it an actual bug?

It's the same spot where you entered the basement of the Amell manor back in Act I for the Birthright quest, or at least that's where I found it. There was no map marker; I had to hold down TAB to find it.

Thanks for the help but I can't even see the location when I use TAB . Think I've just got a bug.

I seem to have that bug too. The location isn't indicated on map with an arrow and tab doesn't work either. I found the scrolls out of order, 3rd, 1st and then 2nd so maybe that's the problem.

I've done the scrolls in the right order so far, and the third scroll won't let me select it from the ground. Yet, when I go to the "lair" section, I can kill the mobs, yet I don't progress in the quest. I think the entire quest might just be bugged.

Yeah, I think this one (and the bandits at the coast) are the two fubared quests in the game. From the journal entry, it looks like you should be getting a map marker for the combat (which doesn't show up), and neither is there one for the main location after the subquests are completed. This even when it's "working", so that everything spawns and the doorway becomes accessible.

Definitely bugged. I found the Second first, had the encounter to get the quest, then got the Third at the bottom of sundermount and as a last the First at Wounded Coast.

Journal states that places lairs should have opened, yet none open at areas they should according to some people who weren't bugged, and added to that my journal mentions Pride Unbound, Third and First Aspect, but no Second Aspect.

~le sigh~ the so-manieth quest that's bugged :(

I've had that too but it DID have the X for a location, i hovered over it and got the tooltip text saying what it was.

Just to make absolutely sure, you guys who say it isn't working are picking up the scrolls AND killing the associated bosses right? Each scroll should have a named boss fight with it.

I also had a problem with this - getting the first scroll and no area opening up. I believe the 2nd scroll opened up it's area fine, but then the 3rd scroll wouldn't open up it's associated area.

Everything worked for me, but nothing had quest markers, making those boss fights and especially the end location in Darktown pretty hard to find. Not sure if this is as intended, the quest text would suggest otherwise, iirc.

Just to make sure you do have all the scrolls right? If I remember it right 2 are on sundermount mountain and the other one is at the wounded coast. You'll need all 3 scrolls before the marker to the hidden lair will come up, which will be right outside anders' clinic.

Good luck

I did all three quests, no marker, but I was able to enter the area and complete the questline, anyway (since I knew where to go).

Actually, it turned out nothing was bugged - the journal is just weird with it.
I found the Second Aspect scrolls first, and had the encounter shortly after along the path up to Sundermount (while I was doing Merrill's quest) which deleted the Second Aspect journal entry. I later went back to the bottom of Sundermount, picked up the Third Aspect and to the Wounded Coast for the First Aspect, after which I went searching for encounters but couldn't find them, and the Lair of Evil in Darktown wasn't available.

At this point I had 3 journal entries for 1 quest: Pride Unbound (the main quest it seems), First Aspect and Third Aspect. Because I thought I missed the Second Aspect journal entry, it didn't seem to add up.

So let's turn this 'omg it's bugged!' into some constructive feedback:
When finding the any of the scrolls first, give *one* Journal entry with checkpoints (like Herbalists Tasks) that are crossed off as you find scrolls and encounters and updates accordingly.
The current way this quest is handled in the journal is confusing.

Because it's not marking it. Wander around a bit, there's some guys close by (on the same map).

The game IS marking them. They get marked like small little x'es on your map. Just hover over them to see if it says 'Hidden Lair".

The two sundermount bosses are up the mountain. One of them is on the path from the camp to the cave entrance and the second one is between the Altar and the top of the mountain. The one in the Wounded Coast is along the west path - just go straight west from the entrance and you'll run in to it eventually.

:D

Didn't think to look for that. The quest marker might be a better option. ;)

I can confirm that the 3 scrolls do not have to be done in order. I did scroll 2, 1, and 3. Doing them out of order still netted the Pride Unbound quest.

I think I'm bugged pretty badly here. Found the Third Scroll, didn't go to kill the bosses. Found the First Scroll, killed them. Found the Second Scroll, killed the bosses for the Third, but now the two Revenants won't spawn and I can no longer interract with the scrolls on the ground.

Game has a lot of bugs and a lot of things wrong with the imported histories too. It is bugging me out!!! I have Merrill blabbing about killing the keeper and I haven't even gotten that quest yet in my second playthrough. I had to download the DLC twice to get the achievements for Sabastian. Lots of other bugs too. I got my warrior moving like a slug. He is so slow that the enemy is dead before he smacks them--killed by the others....what is with that? That just sucks! First playthrough as mage was great but the second one just is awful because of all the bugs that are popping up all over the place.

How did Anders become a warden when in my imported history I turned him over to the Templars before he became a Warden so he never even went to the Blackmarshes?  How is Zev alive when in my imported history I killed him before he ever spoke a word?  How is Nathaniel alive since in my imported history I executed him?  Very odd how the history doesn't mean crap in DA2.  So what is the point of it?   I like my first playthrough but the this game has lost lots of points with me in second one because of the too many bugs and it doesn't follow through with the Origins or its DLCs..
