Did anyone get his gem, is it any good/expensive? Or was her daugther actually the gem? Damn game wouldn't save at that conversation, and I'm not going to go through that fight again on Nightmare again, or anytime soon (took about 20 mins with all the damn waves of thugs).

I don't recall getting a gem, but by that time I was barely paying attention to my loots and wealth. His daughter is clearly the "greatest treasure", however.

She steals it to get his attention, actually. You can tell her to keep it or take it from her.
I didn't take it, personally. I'd be interested to hear about it though.

it's nothing special, I took it from her and 4 or 5 other amulets I had on me @ the time were better. It's an okay one I guess but not for your main character. Once you go to Gamlen after the quest he takes it aka you hand it over to him anyways.
