Does Avaline always accuse you of selling Wesley's Shield?

I have it in storage... it was never sold.

Does she always accuse you of this regardless of what you did with the Shield?

Or is it because the Shield is not in the "Backpack"?

She accuses you of that if she's not equipping it - even if it's in your bags, it won't matter, she only checks for 'am I wearing Wesley's shield'. If she is equipping it, instead of commenting about how you sold it, she asks you if you seriously want her to remove it, and pawn it.

that's weird, i never got that dialouge and i actually did sell the shield.

Never gotten that comment. Maybe it's dependent on when you remove it in game?

She gives you the comment when you give her The Shield of the Lady Herself.

Yah, it hurt my feelings because I had made sure not to sell her husband's shield. I reloaded, stuck it on her, and then she yelled at me for daring to suggest I replace the shield.

I assumed it was that time of the month or something.

That stung. I was like, 'hey, if my warrior Hawke can stand not wearing the Amell family shield because its stats are mediocre compared to other gear we have on hand, you can stand not wearing Wesley's shield for the same reason.'

Actually I swapped out Wesley's shield after her and Donnic come back from Orlais and she didn't say a word.

I was so pissed at her reaction that on my next play though I sold her shield intentionally just to ****** her off.

She didn't complain anything even I sold Wesley's Shield since Act 1.

Yah no complaint for me either and I sold it off realy early in the game. Cause there are alot better shields out there.

Lol, couldn't agree more.
I went out of my way to make sure I kept the thing and she was still mad at me. At the very least the developers could have made the shield level up with the character like they did with Fadesheer and several other items.

I had the exact same experience. Her reaction annoyed me because I was always nice to her and already had maxed out friendship. I'm thinking what the hell? After all we been through you give me a pompous nasty attitude? She was already dating/married to dominic or whatever his name is and her shield was in storage. The conversation didn't fit the story I had played to that point.
