This has probably been asked before but I could not find it. How come Alistair is still married to the warden? Isnt she supposed to be gone? Or does the warden disappear at the same time as Hawke? After the end battle in Kirkwall

I dont know what you mean, Alistair can only marry the queen, unless its different with the female character back story.

I liked the version where Alistair is getting drunk in the Hanged Man.

I think he was talking about Anora because when I went through my playthrougth, he mentioned the same thing and my Warden wasn't a female nor did he marry Alistair. Not only that, but Alistair also mentioned that Lohgain was still alive. I'm just as confused as you are.

you can marry him in Origins if you play a female.

I made him marry the queen. he was pretty pissed about that.

Is it possible for him to marry Anora and have Lohgain be kept alive?

The female Cousland warden can marry Alistair. I assume that the warden disappears sometime between Alistair's visit to Kirkwall and Leliana's appearance at the end. That doesn't mean the marriage is over, it means that his wife may be missing by the end of DA2. If the Awakening endings have any credence, Alistair may or may not be with her, even when king.

You're just assuming the Warden disappeared during the events of DA2. Which they didn't.

Yes. There are details on that in a few threads in the DA:O forum. It involves arranging the match (and having high coercion) before going against him at the Landsmeet.

I thought he meant Anora at first too, but then he says she killed an archdemon. That has to be the warden.

He also said Lohgain was alive, I however killed him, I assumed that was just a glitch.

Yes must be something like that. I didnt mean the marriage was over, that was just badly phrased, just that she was gone.

Well, technically that epilogue with Leliana and Cassandra is still part of DA2, so he/she did, just not during a part we see.

In the playthrough I chose to import, I had kept Loghain. I got to see Alistair in a drunken haze in the Hanged Man, with Teagan coming by to pick him up. That was actually pretty neat.

Also, we have to remember that the epilogue's pretty much don't mean a thing anymore; though I would've though Loghain being alive or dead would've been a big one

My conversation with Alistair had Teagan mentioning that the Hero of Ferelden would be back in Denerim soon, so the Warden was still around at that point--during Act III, even.

Definitely a glitch. He was very definate that Loghain got what was coming to him when I had Aveline in the party.

Strange. My Warden was never able to keep Lohgain alive and Alistair married. Has anybody else had the problem of different decisions that your Warden made being referenced in your playthrough of DA2 because what from what I'm hearing, I get the feeling that people are talking about somebody else.

Knew someone would grab me with the technicality. ;) My point was made, regardless.

The Warden probably vanished again after the war was ignited in DA2. At the time of Alistair's trip, presumably she was still at home. *shrug* My Warden was married to Alistair and became queen.Just like in Awakening, presumably she's still active as a Warden since she popped off to Amaranthine even though she was queen of Ferelden at the time.

Well, mine seemed to have imported correctly, but the only decisions that seemed to matter or be referenced were who the ruler was and what the warden was doing (in my case, being queen)

So we do get a good 10 years married then. hmm but now the question is where did we go? I would not want all of my Dragon age characters to mysteriously vanish.

I'm hoping this was all eluding to DA3. The 2 biggest heros the world had seen at that point both going missing seemingly at or around the same time? That's buildup for something coming....

Sure.  In fact, he mentions it as well if that's the way it went down, saying it's a shame that Loghain is still alive.

Kind of reminds me of Knights of the Old Republic with both Revan and the General disappearing after the conclusion of the games.  Of course, we have some idea now where they went.

That and Sandal's creepy little quote if you click on him enough in your home. >_>

I definitely think the Warden and Hawke going missing has something to do with an expansion or DA3.
