I had all but Anders, who I killed........ with a heavy heart for the Anders I remember from Awakenings :'(
But as someone said, he crossed the line and also I didn't want to lose Sebastian, I find him oddly relaxing and also a very pleasant thing to look at as well as being a real decent guy.
Fenris never leaves my side regardless of siding with mages or templars. I reckon I could sweet talk Cullen too tbh ;)

First playthrough: Lost Bethany in the deep roads, killed Anders, and sold Isabela out to my buddy the Arishok.

Took Fenris, Varric and Merrill with me to battle the mages. Hard choice, Hawke wanted to honour her sisters memory, but thought the status quo had to be maintained.

Everyone, except Leandra and Carver. No one died or left.

I began with everyone, of course.

Carver died (rather unceremoniously) of the taint, leaving me one party memeber short in the deep roads.

Varric lived to the end (duh).

Merill left with me because I romanced her.

Isabela ditched me with her relic.

Aveline drifted away (but made it safely through otherwise).

Seabastian drifted away (presumably back to Starkhaven).

Fenris stuck with me to the end and then drifted away.

Anders got put down like the traitorous dog he was.

I ended with Merrill, Sabastian, and Varric.

I ended up killing Anders after Sabastian threatens to bring Starkhaven to war with Kirkwall. seriously, for his act of terror against the one neutral party, letting him live was a stretch for me, but the moment Sabastian threatens war (and he could totally do it) wasn't gonna let Ander's further existence threaten anymore widespread bloodshed. he can die a 'martyr'.

Until I read this thread, I had no idea people could betray you besides Anders/Sebastian if you don't kill Anders.

No matter what side I pick, they all stood by my MageHawke.

And yes, including "You're the only Mage I call friend!" Fenris.

Except Anders, because I was really doing him a favor setting Justice free.

For the record, I romanced Isabela. Slept with Merrill [rival] but only because she showed up randomly at my mansion, and after that immediately told her ''IT WAS JUST A FLING' at which point she immediately showed herself out.

Hawke amuses me.

But she still sticks around regardless what side i pick, and regardless if i finish her final quest or not.

Carver: "In War, Victory."

Bethany because I killed Anders and figured I needed a healer.  Varric because it seemed only right that the story teller should be there for the final battle.  Aveline because I wasn't sure what to expect aside from boss fights, so I figured a tank couldn't hurt.

My final party was Merrill, Varric, and Avaline, plus my female mage Hawke. I considered killing Anders, but I eventually figured that he could still be useful. Being a good healer will go a long way to making me spare you. If there hadn't been a battle to fight, I would have killed him.

Fenris sided with the templars, so I killed him. Our last dialogue summed it up perfectly:

Hawke: I'm no different from [the other mages].
Fenris: I wish I had figured that out when we met.

Ten seconds later, he was dead.

Merrill, being my LI, stuck with me.

I almost spared Anders for that same reason.  But sparing him would have cost me Sebastian, and so I ended up keeping the companion that I felt was most deserving.

Mage Hawke:

Avaline, Varric, Isabella. Funniest in-game banter, hands down.

Killed Anders, he was a ****** anyway.

Isabella took off with the relic (even though I reloaded a save saying I will give it to her)!!!!

Saved Anders and the religious freak left in anger, saying that he will bring a whole army to bring me and Anders down.

Fenris wanted to leave but I persuaded him to stay despite never having used him once.

Carver joined only in the end, when he realized Meredith is one crazy b****

The only true loyal ones are Aveline, Varric and Merril... 3 characters that I have been using most the time (and Anders)...

By the end of the game the only person I didnt have was Carver because he joined the Templars. Fenris left me for a while but I convinced him to come back right before the final battle. I was going to kill Anders but the only reason I didnt is because I needed his healing abilities for the final fights. Isabela and all those other people stayed by my side.

I had almost everyone with me, but not Sebastian. I sided with the mages and 'Grey Warden' Carver returned. Main party for the battle against the Templars: Varric, Carver and Aveline. My Hawke was a spirit healer and force mage.
