If you have some special characters in your email, such as "+bioware",
this can cause your account to be unable to log into our checkout flow.
In some cases, even "normal" special characters can cause this. You
can change your account email here . If you do so, please note the next item.
A + is a perfectly valid character for an email address.
For that matter, so are
! # $ % & ' * + - / = ? ^ _ ` . { | }
But given that gmail is one of the world's most popular email services, and lets (or even encourages) users use the + character to let users tag and route their email, it's basically insane to ever design an email validator that doesn't accept +. And so, while the iron was hot and I was all ready to buy DLC, I couldn't.
