I haven't found this topic before here, so apologies if i simply missed it and made a double post.
I was taken by surprise, to put it mildly, to be able to load a save from Origins, my main Warden, and suddenly be greeted by a very dead Antivan assassin who was looking very healthy. I even checked my Origins saves to make sure i didn't do a mistake, but no, my Warden certainly killed him cause he didn't trust his intentions. And still there he was, very alive.
This might be just an import glitch, but on top of it all, Leliana is in the final sequence of the game, its probably the "big mysterious revelation" of this game. So while Zevran might be a glitch, i have my doubts she is, as she is in the cutscene and certainly present for all players. And if i remember correctly, she can die in the Sacred Ashes quest.
Now what is this? I remember pre Awakening, there was a lengthy debate about decisions, about Wardens staying dead, decisions not being handwaved and ignored, and now suddenly 2 rather important Origins decisions get totally ignored?
Until then, i really enjoyed the game. I could have done without the generic and repetitive evironment, and certainly without the glitches (not a single cutscene where Hawkes fist, sword or whatever doesn't simply vanish inside his body, not to talk that my sword constantly slash my heels as i walk. And i don't even want to talk about the flying weapons that float right on your back all the time), but simply ingnoring Origins decisions and bringing dead people back and acting like they had a shared history with my Warden while the only history they had was a failed assassination and a blade in his chest?
Whats all this fuss about respecting Origins decisions when dead people can simply come back? Its not like Connor is dead or alive unlike my choice (wouldn't really bother me), but a companion, and a vital decision to have or not to have this companion?
I can't shake the feeling, at least for Zevran (what Leliana is up or not up to remains to be seen) it was merely done for the sake of providing some kind of Origin continuation. Not unlike Alistair, who also doesn't seem to serve any other purpose then saying "i am Alistair, i am king, so this is the sequel to Origins and not a new game." And to generate this feeling, players decisions seem to have been sacrificed. Missed Nathaniel in my first run, so can't say how his appearance is like.
So before i get showered as a DA 2 hater, i still like this game and enjoyed it. And if i am totally wrong and Zevran was just a bug and a dead Leliana wont appear in the final cutscene, my apologies and close this down.
I just think that if you feel messing up with Origins decisions, do it where no one actually cares, not reviving people that were central to the original game. That gave me the vibe my decisons, and my gaming experience, don't really matter that much.

I don't know if Zev is a bug or not - my import had left both him and Leli alive, so I had no glitch issues when either appeared - although I didn't need Zev, as I didn't care for him much in DAO.
I'd be curious to hear from others who killed Zev and/or Leli, to find out if this is a bug or just ignores your choice.
