I first made a male Hwake who was a compassionate gentleman. I then made a sarcastic and flirty female Hawke. I loved playing as both but I've been trying to play as an aggressive mage but I just can't do it.
It's not like me...
What was "your" Hawke like?

A charming man whom used humour as shield and wit as a sword.
A man that rose to anger over injustice and remained calm in the face of certain doom.
A man who used thought at a weapon and action as a defense.
In other words an avatar of me, idealized perhaps but a great model after all shouldn't he be modeled after the one whom wields him?

Hey, I killed hundreds, possibly thousands of people in my seven years in Kirkwall. I mean, I may have helped out the random mage in some pointless attempt to find one that wasn't going to turn to blood magic and stab me in the back, but I deprived a lot of children of their fathers, and a lot of women of their husbands/wives/boy/girlfriends. Those bandits and mercenaries are people too you know, many of them just trying to put food on the table.
Even a goody-two-shoes Hawke causes enough grief in the world to fill the karma meter a hundred times over, assuming you believe in it. ;p

I was nice throughout the entire game and in the end it pretty much gave me nothing! The thing that happened was that I lost a bunch of gold that I gave away to people starting their lives over haha
I think it was a nice approach to see the hero really standing up for the weak but my second character is now pure evil throughout every conversation. It's funny to see what kind of commentaries they've implemented hehe, especially the ironic ones

I started off as an almost complete smartass, using diplomatic and agressive dialogue when I felt it was appropriate. Following the incident with Bethany in the Deep Roads I decided to chuck in a little character development and go almost full diplomatic, using sarcastic dialogue with some friends and agressive options with particularly bad guys.
In terms of the moral decisions I pretty much did what I would have done, I stayed pretty neutral and diplomatic with the Templar/Mage situation until Meredith tried to do an annulment, so I stepped in to stop a massacre.
Kinda surprised myself actually, since I usually go for the righteous but aggressive options, killing bad guys without hesitation, helping the good sorta thing, but for some reason playing as Hawke in this story I kind of fell into the diplomatic role.
