i thought that da2 was better than bg2

You're lying because you can't admit you just dumped $50 buck on a third-rate game.   DA2 is nothing.  Not even worth finishing.   BG2 is one of the all-time classic CRPGs ever written and something BioWare has been cynically exploiting for years, including calling DA:O 'the spiritual successor of Baldur's Gate.'

There is a difference between lying and giving your thoughts.
A lie is a statement such as Sally crossed the street alone. When we all know she did not compared to, I thought Sally crossed the street alone.
Attention to detail will you get far in life.
My point being it is saying he, himself thinks DA2 is better than BG2. Hell DA2 can have an offical rating of 4 and BG have a rating of 8, the damn guy still prefers DA2.

If your speaking of the elder scrolls series then you waste your breathe ser.

All the open terrain and flashy skills don't mean squat when you have a linear story line.

No.  Sorry.  I think it's pretty clear you're making that 'linear' criticism up.  I put in hundreds of hours in Daggerfall and never finished it...    I put hundreds of hours into Morrowwind and never finished it.   I buckled down for Oblivion and managed to finish it, only because I decided that (for once) I should finish one of their games then spent weeks and weeks doing all the non-linear side-quests.

Which is typical for Bethesda's sandbox approach which includes their Fallout properties.

I do, however, find it ironic that you criticize Bethesda for liner game play since every Bioware game I've played since BG:2 has been a 'tunnel RPG" with limited, linear faux-choices.  KOTOR -- running down halls and through the same LONG, POINTLESS areas over-and-over again.   Jade Empire -- running in trenches.   DA:O -- linear story, travel and 2d restricted movement .  ME1 -- the same.   ME2 -- big improvement, you can now roll-over barricades (big whoopee!!!!).  NWN - no flying, no jumping, heck you couldn't walk under bridges because the engine wouldn't support walkmesh that would allow it...

I mean the linearity even applies to moving in the environment.  Here you are the hero with incredible abilities and vast powers.   You routinely kill powerful demons, slay dragons and rout armies with your might.  But you can't step/jump over a minor obstacle in the path.  Or find your way from one city to another, or from one neighborhood to another...

And when games were 2d...  So be it.   But 2d as the only choice ended in the 1990s...  And yet, here we are...  Over 15-years since I played my first fully 3D computer game wondering if BioWare will ever embrace full 3D movement.  Something I, and many others, as a fan have been asking for on these, and the previous forums, since pre-NWN.

All elder scrolls games have a pre-determined one way ending while most bioware games usually have a good & evil ending.

Who cares if you spend hundreds of hours making alternate decisions in side quest when the main quest demands you save the world instead of conquering it and vice versa. As the consumer I want control over my character's destiny and how it plays out.Gaming companys need to be flogged these days for even suggesting a linear story.

If I want to be forced into accepting a certain ending I'll go to the library and check out a book.

I agree how this game is a let down from true fans and not fanboys who say this is a great game despite it clearly has flaws. cookie cutter dungeons, bad ending and so on. I wanted a heroic adventure i had in origins not this lame one where my actions really don't affect the game at all.

you must be blinded by fanboyism! Bethesda gives real breathing world rpgs, where bioware does give us linear stories but thats not a bad thing. Bioware's stories are the best hands down in rpgs but I can admit it's linear since we warp to a location, where in bethesda the time changes and we need to run to the city or be lazy and warp. I would love if Bioware and Bethesda  joined together they would make godly games. Bioware #1 Bethesda #2

You guys know all of you can register the game here on your account (or accounts, as many as you want) with these codes so you can post in whatever section of the site you want? They're the same for everyone, nothing you cant find by going to your local game retailer and looking at the bar code on the back of the box (or Google).

360 UPC: 014633195019
PS3 UPC: 014633195002

Say bye bye to forum segregation and have fun!

Thanks for the piece of **** game Bioware!

This is a video game forum. If you say HI you are being melodramatic because you played a game and you either liked or hated it and then came to the forum to discuss it. Shows how smart you are.

Not at all, just worked up over how people can be so completely clueless. (:
Seriously, made a topic in a colorful manner to keep people entertained instead of the every day crap that most people post and for doing so people can't comprehen the nature of the post.

It works me up to see how stupid people really are, this is why so many people score lower than a 50 on the ASVAB for the military. Posted Image  You dumb kids you. Posted Image

You realize all you have done was prove my point. Like I said, you guys are the reason half the people that join the military make less than a 50 on the ASVAB. xD

Anyway, to further explain my point. You liked a game or you hated it and felt necessary to come on the fourms and say something, weither hi or something else you were being melodramatic because you could not just play the game and discuss it in your own head. Wow, I really made you look like a total ****ing moron didn't I?
