This thread is awesome. We can discuss philosophy now....

"To be or not to be, that is the question", thoughts?

So in other words the whole point of this 6 page thread is; to point out that no one is entitled to their opinions if it differs from the next, if one person likes a game and another doesn't someone is wrong, and just because a game is released in a fashion that you didn't care for the company that made it is crap. (or at least dying)

Gotta love the internet.

Okay, you are obviously not following me.
mel·o·dra·mat·ic (ml-dr-mtk)adj.
1. Having the excitement and emotional appeal of melodrama: "a melodramatic account of two perilous days spent among the planters" (Frank O. Gatell).
2. Exaggeratedly emotional or sentimental; histrionic: "Accuse me, if you will, of melodramatic embroidery" (Erskine Childers).
3. Characterized by false pathos and sentiment.

That means, if you felt the need.... to register on a forum..... any forum.
Means that you.... yourself...... are being melodramatic because you felt the need to discuss something that did not need to be discussed in the first place.
You posting at all, means you are melodramatic simply because your post has no affect on you and you simply posted just to be posting.

And yes, it does mean I was being 'melodramatic' the second I made a single post.
You forum people are not to bright so obviously I am wasting my time trying to explain the simplest of defintions to you.

Maybe you guys should go to college and major in something like I have.
Like Computer Science or Electrical Engineering such as myself. (:
Then after that maybe I wouldn't have to hold your hands trying to show and explain such silly things.

By your definition, anyone discussing anything that isn't of world-shattering importance is melodramatic.
Ye gods..what a drama queen.:lol::lol::lol:

Is it me or is this post showing a trend of change of the posts of this game over time? This post feels like the OP which didn't like the game is getting beat down by people who did like it, however recent post seem to be doing the exact opposite.

Again is it just me or are we facing a landslide in opinion?

I like this.  Releasing DA2 resulted in -75 disproval, causing Legato to leave the party.

No, its more that the haters of day 1 are still spending every day on this forum rage quitting while the normal people have gone on with their lives Posted Image

Heh, reasonable point. Though then the next question would then be: Is that because the 'haters' are people who can't get over a grudge or is it the lack of defendable material that have made the 'lovers' give up on the case.

(In no way do I mean to offend any players with the lover/hater descriptions, it's just the easiest way to illustrate which kind of player I'm refering to.)

That said commence the continuation of the bickering, hehe.

For most of you guys replying. The you are over looking the point, no company should release a game ON TIME when game developer testers show a staff that there are known glitches. Bioware staff ITSELF stated that they would fix a glitch if you bought Warden's Keep and Awakening and got to Awakening sentiel armor as a human player that it is bugged and they would fix it. Year has gone by and problem still exists and when asked about it they ignore it. Yeah, it has been awhile and yes I am over that, I am complaining about the fact that the company was shown known questline glitches and was so worried about releasing on time said **** it and released it.

I don't know which universe you are from - but every game I've played in the last 10 years (and I've played a lot) - purchased within a month of release - has been buggy. Some FAR FAR worse than this.  "Fallout New Vegas" made this game look like a work of perfection.  So PLEASE stop with the melodramtic BS that Bioware is the only dev that stabbed you in the heart. Sheesh.

Releasing buggy games is inexcusable - but gamers only have THEMSELVES to blame, because they buy them anyway.

Some people seem to have invested a ludicrous amount of emotion in games and the companies that produce them, its like being at Comic Con here, just scarier Posted Image

But if you played a Bioware game in the past 10 years you would know that this is not the sort of quality we expect of them.  Neverwinter Nights was patched for years after its release, and, as I recall on the old boards, devs were proud of that and insisted we could expect similar customer support for (then) current games, DAO and ME1.

Now issues remain with Origins DLC and DA2 patches - to rectify features they promised but "accidentally" cut - have still not been released... they should be ashamed.

Given Bioware's history and the massive disappointment to long term fans (who paid for the company to get where it is today), they deserve a major roasting for what they've done.  <_<

I've heard the EXACT same thing on the Obsidian and Bethesda forums.  - Same exact song, different game developers.

And when they were ****ing about FNV - they gave examples of Bioware having the same issue.

And for every customer lost - there's lots who come of age, ready to replace ya. So no worries.

probably the most emo thread around outside guys crying their guts out over 20 seconds of a flirting Anders.

That said, good for you, letting your guts out like that ~ takes courage to make a wrist cutting topic on forums, as they tend to get ugly with old farts like me talking about how emo the op is.

With good rights mind you, but still.

I don't think Bioware is in danger of being run into the ground.  I am sure they are well aware of how many customers they can afforrd to lose (because you simply can't please everyone), and how many they anticipate gaining.

Aye, and while I too play on the dramatic it sometimes seems like some people actually believe that we should care, that BioWare should care that someone decided that he will never get the next game, that he will break the current game into pieces and ****** on it, and by this BioWare should throw apologizes and ask forgiveness and change their current path and direction for what the sad, truly tragic, poster wants.

Trends is a different thing, and obviously they should be worried if their data gathering displays negative trends within the consumers or the community.

So I'm not saying they should just ignore the masses ~ just the emo kid cutting his wrists with broken DA2 DVDs.

Exactly.. I have nightmares about the "balancing" when it comes to PvP - the endless ****ing just astounds me.

Yet the same people remain, month after month and year after year.
