I am able to successfully redeem my code on PSN (it shows me the list of items), but it comes back with PSN error 80029780 when I try to download any of them. Please advise.

google PSN error 80029780. It seems that it has to do with Playstation itself. Might be a technical problem "it either means there are 5 accounts activated already and you can't activate another or you have 2 many users on your system"

I have a similar question regarding the Signature Edition DLC.

Considering that I have a UK copy of the game but am mostly using my US PSN account, will I be able to download the DLC from PSN UK and use it with my US account? Or is the content locked to the account it is downloaded with?

@Blinx That error problem is something else. But in your case i think that the DLC code isn't going to work because you have us account that only accepts BLUS code and most of the european ps3 games have BLES code. It's better to try it out on a European account because the DLC codes are very restricted to one account

I know my UK code most likely won't be accepted, nor would the DLC even work with my UK copy of the game.

Hence my question is: Can I redeem the code on PSN UK, download all the stuff for my UK copy and then use those items with my PSN US account, like I did with most other games in the past?

I usually don't use my UK account for anything but downloading DLC for my few region 2 games.

Most of my saves and trophies are linked to my US account.
