Same, especially the ones between Varric and Isabela in the first act. They were almost a verbatum reading of the first Varric fan thread on these forums back when he was first introduced.. Nice to see Bioware putting so many easter eggs in the game.

If you mean the history of the item, those are in the codex

Many of the items in the game are named after various pop culture and geek or gaming references.

Yeah I got those, but it seemed in Origins almost every item had even a small description that you'd be able to read when you  right clicked on it or inspected it.
