At some point in Act 2 Hawke starts to become so slow in combat that the game becomes unplayable. He/she will continue to move and normal speed when a move oder is issues, but combat abilities and basic attacks have the animations so slow that it is hard to get anything to work. When being struck the animations are slow enough that you will be interrupted over and over, this is true of even the basic attacks.
