Is anyone else incredibly annoyed by the wordy dialogues you get from your rogues when they see a trap? I get it, they've got personalities, but when I'm running into battle it's a lot nicer to have a simple, "Trap!" than Varric saying, "Well that's just great. What are they trying to do, mess up my boots?"

... What does that even mean?! How does that help me? At one point Sebastian said something like, "I think you should know there's a trap around here." Of course, I'd already walked into it by the first three words. Thanks a lot, buddy.

I hated that, too. The problem is the trap detection radius is too small. Even if you play a rogue yourself, you'll often run into a trap right as Hawke mentions theres a trap in front.

I believe he's saying that the trap will explode upwards or poison leak from the ground, either way, his boots are charred or smell funny.

However, I do agree. I'm walking through, Varric speaks up and I think he's starting a dialogue with some other character, and then as I pay little attention to the actual floor during combat, he finally says the familiar "What are they trying to do?" part, I've usually stepped on it, or a partymember just ran over it somewhere and cause a little bit more of an irritation during a fight!

...However, I'm oblivious to floor-panels when not playing my own rogue, so I think I could really just learn to stare at the ground more often.

what they need to do is just have a way to permanently turn on name and object plates, so i dont have to hold tab down the entire game.

Hahaha, you know, I was JUST thinking this as I searched (again) every nook and cranny of Deep Roads on my new Mage. I can't remember where I found all the Lyrium or Orichalcum, but I know I got some here, and I have to search for it all over again.

It's especially annoying to hold it down when walking through the city and finding items I didn't even find my first playthrough just because I wasn't as diligent with the Tab key.

Oh yeah. I really really hate it and feels like my companions just wanna see me get trapped <_<:pinched:

Not only do they take their own sweet time telling me that, they are also saying it without any sense of urgency... gosh! Why dont they just push Hawke into the traps?

YES! That is precisely how I want them to shout it, I would even prefer it if they held up a posterboard with that picture on it as well...

By the way, my Queen, Kerrigan, for the win. <3. Zerg shall rule the known Universe.
