Not seen it mentioned anywhere but it seems the templar cleanse ability is a bit bugged. It works great at canceling enemy buffs but at the same time removes any sustained abilities I have from one of the mages in party. The ability itself says it cancels enemy buffs and hostile magic so why is it cancelling my friendly buffs as well?
Cleanse bugged?

I don't know about in DA2, but Cleanse Area always cancelled friendly buffs. It cleanses all magic in an area.

Are you playing on NM? If so, friendly fire may be the culprit.
