There has been subtle hinting at the next few games in the series.

Dragon Age 3 will be set in Orlais.
Sandal has been a recurring character in both Dragon Age games and one piece of downloadable content. In Act III of Dragon Age 2, Bodahn mentions that Sandal will be going to Orlais to sell his wares and enchantments, which I'm sure is a deliberate move by the developers.
Also, it is mentioned that there is some rising tension between Ferelden (our Dragon Age homeland in both games) and Orlais.

The Grey Wardens Will Make a Return
It is mentioned in the Awakening epilogue that there are rumors of a Blight in the Anderfels, and in Dragon Age 2 it is mentioned by Stroud that there is a pressing matter (even more urgent than a Qunari invasion) that demands the attention of the Grey Wardens.

Thoughts?

I think DA3 will venture all throughout Thedas, and not be restricted to a country or region. Seriously out of the 2 games we've only explored Fereldan and Kirkwall.

I believe DA 2: The Expansion will be the next major story point. After this ending, I have doubts that it actually continues on with Hawke's personal story now. Perhaps it'll touch on whatever Flemeth was doing in the region. That wasn't your question though.

I think DA 3 is going to be set in Orlais. We know that's where Sandal is going. We've played as a Warden, and a city's Champion. Maybe we'll be play as a member of the Chantry itself in #3. If that seems too restrictive, then I'd guess we'll play as an Orlesian noblewoman/man. You'll likely be involved in the decisions and events that leads Orlais and the entire continent to full out war. Perhaps even re-uniting with Hawke and the Warden at the end.

Perhaps this has already been answered....however...

If your warden did the US at the end of DA:O, does it still say that Cassandra and Leliana are still looking for him/her?

Never know, they might allow you to choose an origin like in DAO. And each origin start off from a different side of what is happening.

A mage, a templar, a noble/royal, or a Grey Warden.

I Hope they won't rush the sequel. Val Royeaux is supposed to be one of the Biggest and most amazing city of Thedas. They'll need to get their magic back before Bioware start working on it.

This is what I say will happen in Dragon age 3: The return of both your main charecters ( maby 2 diffrent uest lines our maby the same uest line). All out war everyone vs mages (just seem that way) Learing how to turn into a Dragon. Flemth trying to kill us all. More chantries blowing up. Killing more dragons, deamons, and people and after all that plays throw it well become an all out battle between: Darkspawn vs mages vs templares vs impream vs kirkwall vs ferleden vs some twist thay always throw in vs flemth and most of them will than try to kill you.

Bioware has already stated that all the DLC for DA2 will be centered on Hawke's personal story, so yes, it looks as though we have pinpointed the possible DA3 plot. :)

And maybe even DA4... (blight in the Anderfels)

I want to say not just Orlais is involved. There was a lot of Tevinter back story in DA2 that sets it up. Perhaps they become involved with the Templar and Mage struggle?

It would be cool to play as a Chevalier in Dragon Age 3. We could try to discover Empress Celene's would-be assassin.

Still in Amaranthine, the Warden Commander wakes up from the terrible dream s/he just had and then goes off to do a proper search for Morrigan.

I really wanted Nevarra, but maybe they can make it in both Orlais and Nevarra?

She'd be old, but who knows?

I hope you're right, and that Ferelden wardens are involved. There's also the question of just what it was that Alistair was hoping to have Hawke do in Orlais that was bollocksed by Meredith. He also mentioned plots and assassinations in Orlais.

Well, we don't know how many games they intend to set in Thedas. There's plenty of backstory for many more games thats for sure though and its not a confirmed trilogy like Mass Effect (as far as I know).

There are two countries that can be considered "most anticipated" however - Orlais, and Tevinter. People thought both Origin's expansion and DA2 would be in Orlais but have been wrong both times which should prove sufficient warning not to assume this about DA3 either. Sandal's apparant intent to go there can be considered a hint but its not in any way a confirmation. Having said this, I personally believe the final Dragon Age game will take place in Tevinter (where the history of Thedas in some ways began), and given the events unfolding in DA2 Orlais would be perhaps the most obvious location for the next game (I believe most of Thedas' Circles are in Orlais), plus the unrest with Ferelden Alistair communicated.

Before that however there's the issue of DA2's expansion, or expansions (there could be more than one as the game itself was rather shorter than Origins and took place in only one city). I suspect Starkhaven, or other Free Marches cities. And the events in these will likely point the way to DA3 more solidly.

Sandal is going to Orlais, and it's not Dragon Age without "Enchantment!"

So Orlais it is! :)

Hmmm.... You might be right about Starkhaven. Rule of the city has yet to be resolved. And yet....I'm fairly desperate to leave the Free Marches. It seems to be a horrible, horrible place.

I think it's more just Kirkwall thats a horrible place :P

Starkhaven is also the location of the only other Circle in the Free Marches. One would imagine that all the other circle's didn't just rise up against the chantry overnight so this would be the most logical place for the displaced Kirkwall mages to peition to begin their uprising. Whether Hawke has a hand in it or not however...

If you ask the Wardens "What is more important?" They give you a strange answer, the Wardens know something we don't.....and that's what I am interested in.
