Your paradox can be explained by the gameplay-story-PC disconnection or segregation. Game mechanics and dialogue allow you to be "free spirited" with Isabela, but also force your Hawke to be monogamous if you romance Merrill, even after having slept with Isabela. So when you encounter Zevran, Hawke is probably thinking: "Ew, threesome." 

Then again who am I to tell you what your Hawke is thinking? <Insert wheel dialogue criticism here and how Hawke is not "your" character because of the voiced dialogue>

The voice makes no difference at all. Hawke is your character. It's just as easy to imagine that her voice is different as it is to imagine that she has a voice at all. That said, her actual voice here worked beautifully with my concept of her

Same here. I was reliefed when Isabela really agreed to not sleep with Zev, as long as my Hawke would compensate her "loss".

This never cease to suprise me.
I missed out on a threesome for a rather different reason.
I was playing as a Male Hawke, and my dad was in the room at the time.
I decided, not to see if it was a threesome cause then my dad would think i'm gay, AND I'M NOT.
