One of the biggest things that bugs me about Dragon Age, and i don't know if this is just the dev team for Edmonton, but they completely lack attention to detail

For instance, when you hand something to a companion, the camra cuts to their face and they look down as if they're being handed something, but you never see the item

This also happened in DA:O

I don't know what the deal is with Bioware Edmonton, but can they just not be bothered to put in little things like that? It really friggin annoys me. Mass Effect has attention to detail, SWTOR sure as hell has it, why doesn't Dragon Age have it?

I LOVE when i go through games and notice little things that the devs did to make the game more immersive, but both Dragon Ages are completely void of it. Alot of the time it feels like im playing a mod

Probably because it's mostly pointless extra animation. Sure, it would be nice to see what the amulet Flemeth gives you looks like, though showing every amulet, staff, ring, and gift item would likely dwindle the budget even further. They did do it once, however, when you give Fenris a sword, and I believe you can also see the runes that Sandal hands you. Nevertheless, at least you know what items you receive in Dragon Age II compared to Origins, which unhelpfully stated "Item Received" every single time you acquire an item.
